Dr. Andrew Kerklaan, DC has more than 20 years of experience at the pulse of the global health and wellness industry. He completed his studies in Toronto, Canada and launched his career in London, England at a prestigious clinic where his patients included rock stars and royalty. Five years later, Dr. Kerklaan returned to his hometown of Montreal determined to bring the best in integrative health care to his own community-based center. His thriving practice provides expert treatment for a wide range of patients and conditions, with a focus on health, wellness, and pain management.
While caring for thousands of patients for nearly a quarter-century, Dr. Kerklaan continually center at the body’s own natural ability to heal. This observation led to the doctor’s deeply-held philosophy — that the best approach to optimum health is most often a natural, non-invasive one. This belief, along with his patients’ urgent search for natural pain solutions, inspired Dr. Kerklaan to explore the benefits of hemp-based medicine.

CNS is both a corporate strategy and private equity firm that holds holistic health-related assets. We have a large hold right now on the hemp and cannabis industry; we have six companies and two brands but we also have non-cannabis companies as well. The AURA Ventures Fund is actually new and unlike anything, we have seen in the investment industry. We’re launching a fund and what we’re focusing on is actual holistic healthcare companies that are in mature stages, not in venture capital; they’re already moderate to large companies – think of large essential oil companies, holistic health, yoga and wellness spas – businesses like that with existing brands. They’re looking to raise capital to take their companies a little bit larger or they’re looking for real strategic partners that will help them in advertising, marketing, branding, event strategy, with proven leaders in those industries.
Within our own CNS portfolio, AURA Venture Funds, and through the AURA creative consulting firm, we take companies that are doing a great job in their state and take them nationally, or companies that are doing well nationally – typically non-cannabis companies because of the challenges – and make them global. AURA as a creative firm is only accepting five select clients in 2018.
