In their experiments, scientists checked the maternal instincts of chickens. They divided the hen with the chickens, but so that they could see each other. And then the chicks began to blow cold air, which for them in nature is very harmful. Seeing all this, adult hens were outraged and tried to break through to their children.

In this experiment, the researchers say, the hens demonstrated the feelings inherent in people. Scientists believe that chicken are one of the few birds that are capable of empathy. This indicates a highly developed emotional intelligence of chickens.
