Can I Just Give A Shout-Out To All The Good Things That Happened This Year

Mariah Carey up in here doing her own thing. Girl I see you, I see you boo.

While 2020 has had its twists and turns, some things good things actually came out of this mess. This time has been extremely hard on all of us, so we should just recognize all the good things that happened and is happening this year.

    #1. Thanksgiving

I know some of yall like hanging out with the fam, but we can't due to the current times. So thanksgiving was really different than it usually is. Some people got to spend this time and others didn't, but we all celebrated it and found a way to adapt to this new life of staying at home.

    #2. Ariana Grande

It took me so long to actually listen to her new album even though Ariana is my homegirl. Her albums are usually pop with a few rap artists or featuring another pop artist. This year, she took a different turn and decided to make her music less pop and more of an R&B/Hip-Hop type of album. She tells us all about what goes on in the bedroom with her new BF Dalton Gomez who is fine as hell. I approve of everything you are doing. She also hosted a birthday party, after my favorite A24 movie, Midsomer, after she didn't get the flower dress from the movie. Ari, I will forever be fascinated with you.

    #3. Kardashian/Jenner Backlash

The Kardashians are terrible people. They all are just plastic and so fake. I literally smile every time I see that something goes wrong with them. First of all, I'm gonna start with Kim K's 50th birthday. She literally tweeted pictures of her non-safe not-socially distant birthday. I understand they all stayed quarantined for weeks, (or so she says) but it's time people take stuff like this seriously. She had a giant crowd of people and it so ovi wasn't safe. So when Twitter clapped back at her, I was so happy. Another Kim K thing doesn't so much involve her, but her husband, Kanye. Kanye may be a talented musical artist, but he's not fit to be a president, and America officially decided that when he ran for president. Kanye may be smart and might actually do something that benefits our country, but the rapper just might have to do that only in his music and not in politics. Now let's talk about WAP. The hit song by Mega Thee Stallion and Cardi B had many different artists in the music video including Normani and Rosalia. But Kylie appeared and people freaked out. The music video has many different women of color, and then Kylie shows up. the Kardashian/Jenners have been known for cultural appropriation. An example is a post that Kylie Jenner had captioned with "Brown Skin Girl" a song by Beyonce in her new movie "Black Is King" which features women of color in the video. When Kylie posted this, everyone was like wtf you are white. She quickly changed the post and claimed in her story that it was photoshopped by someone else. I don't know Kylie, sounds pretty sus to me.

    #4. Harry Styles

The former One Direction band member has started making his own music. He is one of the top artists in America. And to top that, he is one of the many openly LGBTQ+ artists that have become a role model to many kids in the LGBTQ+ community, like Janelle Monet and Lil Nas X. Recently, he was on the cover of a Vogue article and he was wearing a dress in many photos. Candace Owens, someone that I don't usually care to give a fuck about, tweeted something that said "Bring back manly men." directed at Harry. Harry clapped back with a pic of him eating a banana, a very sexy pic, that said "Bring back manly men." I am so proud of you Harry for standing up for yourself and making me really horny with that banana.

    #5. Taylor Swift

Since her recent album, Folklore, was released, she has been getting so much attention and support. We are all happy and still processing it, and she says she is going to drop a new album tonight at midnight. Her new album is going to be called Evermore, and I am so doamn exited for this.

    #6. Mariah Carey

Yall know what time it is! The queen of Christmas is back and she has cookies. Mariah has her own cookie brand! I am totally buying some only because Mariah Carey's name is on them. She released the music video for "Oh Santa!" a new song with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson. And girl, I about died. 3 queens teaming up, next thing you know Mariah is gonna release a Christmas special. Oh right, she did! I need to watch this tonight because, once again, Mariah Carey. The only explanation you need.
