How Long Have You Been a Fan of the Dead?

You've got the spirit of an Alligator. This guitar might not be the best looking in the collection, but it sure has some stories to tell. Each dent and scratch is a sign of hard work, long nights, and perseverance. You've been there through thick and thin, and it has definitely paid off. The Dead has brought you on a long strange trip, and you can't imagine where you'd be without them!

Alligator 1971-1973

Just like this Wolf guitar, you are ready for new experiences. Although you may not enjoy every new journey, you are certainly not afraid to take risks. You may fall down a couple of times along the way, but that sure doesn't stop you from having a good time! Just keep on Truckin'!

Wolf 1973-1993

As Jerry's most played guitar, Tiger is a loyal personality. Jerry once said, "[There’s] like twelve discreet possible voices that are all pretty different…That gives me a lot of vocabulary of basically different tones. And that’s just the electronics; the rest of it is touch. I mostly work off the middle pickup…and I can get almost any sound I want out of that.” You are a hard-working person who is not afraid to express your opinions. Maybe John Mayer isn't your first choice, but you still cheer him on when you attend shows!

Tiger 1979-1995

Doug Irgang created this guitar after a lifetime of trial and error. This guitar is considered to be Irgang's masterpiece. You may be newer to the Dead, but that sure doesn't make you a novice. Whether you found the dead in your teenage years or you were just late to the party, the bus came by, and you got on and never looked back!

Rosebud 1990-1995

You are certainly not a novice Deadhead, but you do have an extensive music taste. The Dead may not be your favorite band, but you are always in the mood to listen to Jerry's sweet melodic masterpieces. You may live to try new things and meet new people, but you'll always come back to those things that are dearest to your heart.

Lightning Bolt 1993-1995

This guitar was built as a back up to Lightning Bolt and was almost never played. You may not be the biggest fan of the Grateful Dead, but you have a selection of "go to" songs that always seem to do the trick.
