Amazon has a list of products called "Movers and Shakers," which is pretty much just fancy talk for things that are currently ~trending~.

Here are some of the coolest and most useful things found on the list this week:

    1. A Humans of New York book filled with poignant stories of everyday New Yorkers that'll give you all the feelings.

Promising review: "I follow the Facebook page, but there's something about holding a tangible book and reading through all the stories in two nights that make it better. I have bookmarked my favorite pages with sticky notes for stories that resonated with me. It's also a great book to share with family and to teach children not to judge people by their appearance. The HONY book is beautiful, and I'm really glad the photographer added in the caption stories as I heard that his first book only had pictures. The stories make it much more emotional and a treasured read." –Alice Ly

    Price: $14.99+

    2. A pillow ready to change color as you move your hand across it and exclaim "ohhh woooow."

Promising review: "Looks better than I thought! The sequins are sewn perfectly, so I haven't experienced any weird lines or lumps. It's great in certain lighting. It's surprisingly comfortable, as well!" –Smalls

    Price: $14.99 Colors: 13

    3. A heat-changing constellation mug that just may become the mug everyone fights over at the breakfast table.

Promising review: "Came in a nice box and in great shape. Got this as a gift for my dad, who is into astronomy, and he loved it! Great success. As others have mentioned, the background of the mug is not dark when filled with a hot liquid, but I don't see this as a huge issue. You can't see the constellations when it's room temperature, which makes the heat changing effect so cool!" –AF

    Price: $15.95

    4. A rip cord-activated, personal alarm for anyone in need of a stronger sense of security out there in the world.

Promising review: "If you go walking/jogging at night, and need something to scare off intruders, this is definitely the product you want! I didn't expect it to be as loud as it was. Mine had a plastic tab I needed to pull out for it to work. I did not need to replace the batteries at all. There is a button for the light. I thought it was pretty bright. For it to blind someone though, they would need to be close. It would definitely work in the dark. The product is about almost half the size of a number two pencil. The lanyard is not long enough to go around the neck, It is about 8 inches long. The noise comes out of the circle on the front, and the button above it is for the light." –Ravin Maclean

    Price: $14.99+ Colors: two

    5. A white noise machine I want in my apartment right now, as will anyone who has a screaming baby or barking doggo next door.

Promising review: "THE ABSOLUTE BEST! We moved into an upstairs apartment, and our downstairs neighbors have three barking dogs. They let the dogs out in the front patio area at about six in the morning. Every time someone walks by, a bird tweets, or an ant crawls, these dogs go into barking hysteria. We did everything, talked to management, and even boarded up our bedroom window with sheet rock! Yes it got that bad, and nothing worked. Two pieces of sheet rock, and we heard the dogs clear as day. We had lost all hope at this point and began waiting out our year sentence until we could move. I decided to look into a noise machine to see if something could minimize the sound at least until we moved. During my research I found a bunch of machines with sound descriptions such as 'ocean,' 'nature,' 'waterfalls,' etc. I knew these 'calming' sounds would never block out the three terrorists that lived beneath us. I read the reviews on this little machine, and I loved the fact that is had 'various FAN sounds' and volume control. So I said, what the hey, lets give it a try. Let me tell you, this machine was sent from the G-O-D himself. This machine blocked out every single solitary noise. My husband and I have slept like babies. It's the best thing ever. I was so shocked the first few mornings, I thought the dogs weren't outside. I thought there is no way this machine has completely blocked out these dogs. But lo and behold, one morning I got up from a great night of sleep and walked in the living room and the dogs were barking at their normal level and not a peep was heard in the bedroom. This is the best investment I've made in a long time." –E. Coles

    Price: $34.95 Colors: two

    6. A bow maker so you can become the masterful crafter of bows everyone'll envy.,

Promising review: "I love ProBow. I made a bow, took it to a local variety/fabric store, and they hired me to make all their bows for the Christmas season! The ProBow is perfect, right up there as one of the best things I ever purchased online. It's easy to use. Thank you for the prompt delivery, and all the great lessons sent with it, and online!" –seeker

    7. A Burt's Bees gift set (filled with soothing beauty products) worthy of gifting to yourself.

    9. A set of 12 flameless tea lights on a timer, for anyone who is tired of spending a fortune on ~regular~ tea lights.

Promising review: "I can't rave enough about these. This is going to save me a fortune in scented tea lights. And they are on a timer, which is great for the Holiday season. I love these so much – I am buying MORE! What a savings in both money and time. My diffusers will add the scent. I love these so much!" –P. Schneider

    Price: $12.99

    10. A portable photo printer so you can print your winter getaway pictures out as soon as you take them.

Promising review: "Look, I never write reviews. However, I was pleasantly SHOCKED by how clear my photos came out. This is my third try at portable printers, and it's BY FAR the best. My family travels a lot, my kids like to do Smash Book style scrap booking on the go, but now we don't have to rely on crappy Instax instant pictures! Plus, the sticky back makes them easier to get in your Smash Book! I love that you don't have to take the backing off if you don't want them to be sticky. This thing is perfect for quick journaling or scrap booking." –patootie10902205

    Price: $129.95 Colors: five

    11. A gorgeous, colorful scarf to hold on to and buy in every color.

    12. A stovetop espresso maker so gorgeous, it just may become your new addiction.

Promising review: "I started off with the 3-cup, and quickly ordered the 6-cup as well. After a bit of trial and error, I have my process down. And when you get the process down and can start truly enjoying your coffee ritual, you will be amazed by the wonderful aroma that escapes just before the coffee begins to stream out. It fills the house. I have become a bit of a Bialetti junkie now." –Patrick523

    Price: $145.72

    14. A jar of Raw Manuka Honey people swear is worthy of investing in (kinda wish I had some in my tea right now).

Promising review: "This honey. Where to begin? It is AMAZING. This product is so good, and the taste is so delicious, it is simply worth every single penny. It has a color of liquid gold, smells somewhat minty, and is extremely viscous. This honey is only found in the top hills of New Zealand where the Manuka plant grows. The huge bees that fly up at that elevation give a world renown quality and flavor that is so unique, I promise you, you will not regret trying this out." –caitlin

    Price: $19.69+ Sizes: three

    15. A Bissell vacuum so good at sucking up dirt and pet hair, you may find yourself writing your next essay on why it rules.

Promising review: "What prompted my purchase was me, hitting rock bottom. ‘Twas Christmas just over two months ago, and ‘twas last week, when I was taking down my Christmas decorations, and jamming my artificial tree back into its sad box, that I realized I had no efficient way to remove the pine needles from the carpet in my living room. Down on my hands and knees with purple duct tape, I realized, this was no way to live. 20 minutes later, I discovered that some 5-star vacuums do not cost $400 as I had naively believed, and I ordered a brand new purple vacuum to be delivered directly to my door a mere three days later. That day was today. And today was glorious. Beware. The vacuum is delivered in pieces. You will need a screwdriver. (Or a tequila sunrise if you prefer.) At first, I felt frustration at the lack of detail in the user’s manual, but I soon forgave Bissell, as I realized one should never start putting a machine together without first realizing there are more instructions as you flip the page. I managed to put the entire vacuum together. By myself. Because I’m an accomplished adult. Who can read. I am amazed at what this vessel can suck out of the ground on which we walk inside our homes. My life has been forever changed. This Bissell proves that my mother was right. Vacuuming DOES matter. My entire adult life, I believed that vacuuming was a hilarious joke between true adults to keep children busy and quiet for 15 minutes a week. It works because oh my God, look at those pictures. Those are the “halfway done with my room” pictures. I can’t believe I used to make my friends take their shoes off when they came over. I can’t believe I have done yoga on that floor. (Who am I kidding? I can’t believe my friends and I have sat around in a circle drinking and playing Cards Against Humanity on that floor). I have never been so impressed with a product that I put my binge watching of Parks and Recreation on hold, simply to write a review and let the world in on a secret. The secret wonder that is the Bissell." –Addison

    Price: $79.99+ Colors: four

    16. A five-pack of jumbo squishes ready to be your best buddies, because we all need something to squeeze and smush when the stress of life hits hard.

Promising review: "We had ordered these as a gift for my daughter's friend. They were so soft, slow-rising, and satisfying to squeeze. At the same time, my daughter had ordered a 15 or 20 piece set for herself from another company. They were small and lacked the slow-rising effect. We ordered this 5-piece jumbo set for my daughter, because she had loved it so much." –KellyS2

    Price: $21.99

    17. A jar of paw protection wax that'll end the battle doggos face against snow, salt, ice, and evil booties.,

Promising review: "This stuff is PAW-some! Our golden doodle loves to play in the snow. Applying a bit of Musher's Secret Pet Paw Protection Wax on her paws before she heads out makes for a much more comfortable playtime for her. Now when she returns from zooming around the yard, a quick wipe with the dog towel and the snow/ice just drops off her paws like magic. It's especially important that the product is non-toxic, she does like to sniff it. She does not attempt to lick her paws and there are no paw prints around the hardwood floors (which I wondered if it would leave sticky marks around the house, and it does not). The wax is rather firm, it's not a lotion or cream that you rub in. It's sort of like ski wax in consistency, and has a fairly neutral, pleasant whiff-of-a-smell. I'd definitely recommend this product!" –Claire W.

    Price: $12.25+ Sizes: five

    18. A Frozen characters aqua bead set for any kid who wants to sing "Let It Go" as their parents scramble the beads everywhere with their too-big hands.

Promising review: "I bought this for my 6-year-old daughter who loves Frozen. This is really cute. It comes with everything you need to make the characters and they really are so cute. The beads are tiny, so when I helped her I was getting frustrated because my fingers are so big compared to her little ones. She did much better than myself. Once we had the characters done, we sprayed liked the directions stated (about 5/6 times) and let it sit until it was dry. We did spray the back too, for extra stability. The little characters came out wonderful and stuck together easily for us. Where do we buy more beads?" –jennakub

    Price: $9.99

    19. A gooseneck light clip powered by AC, USB, or battery, so you can have the ultimate, flexible, portable light at your hands.

Promising review: "Works fantastic on my piano stand, versus paying $50+ for a 'piano light'. This light has two levels of light settings. The light can be used with batteries, or electrical plug (included). The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I wish it was a little wider to accommodate a large book when open. Perfect deal for the price though. Love that I can plug it in instead of using batteries." –Halycon

    Price: $14.99

    20. And a leather dress belt with a Linxx buckle to ensure you're the most elegantly dressed person in the room.

Promising review: "OMG, finally a quality belt that fits! For some unknown reason, I've always been in-between sizes. Belts are either too loose, or too tight. The Marino belt solves the problem! Everything from the belt, buckle, and even the packaging shouts quality. Reminds me of an Apple product; attention to detail. I have since gone back and ordered a second belt, and will soon go back for a third; can you tell I love these belts? The belts work perfect for dress and casual slacks; just hoping they come out with around a 2" wide belt for jeans. I'll be looking." –Joseph M.

    Price: $19.99+ Sizes: 28"–54" Styles: 35
