"Mistress Jane", Is The Short Film You Can´t Miss

Starring the Italian actress Giulia Giovanetti as the protagonist, this amazing love story will break your heart and blow your mind.

If you think about a love story, many ideas may come to your mind. Maybe an impossible love in the past, a teenager comedy or something similar. But I bet that a Dominatrix is the most unlikely protagonist you can think for a romantic movie, right?

Well, in that case, you really should go to youtube and join another 20.000 people watching the short film "Mistess Jane". The story is simple, a woman falls in love with a man, but she has to deal with her own personal problems before starting a relationship. The twist? She is a Dominatrix and he is her client.

Jane (Giulia Giovanetti) starts a romantic journey with Ethan (Robert A. Lynch) full of details, challegnes and, especially, feelings. The black and white cinematography soon takes you into the lonely and depressing world Jane is living on and the style and narration will, scene by scene, make you root for her even when a happy ending for their love story seems impossible.

However, this film wouldn´t work as it does without the brilliant performance of the main actress, Giulia Giovanetti. Is not easy to portray such deep character, a woman that must be in charge and show power and sexual domination and, at the same time, be emotionally vulnerable and willing to open her heart again. But she does it brilliantly, delivering a heartbreaking performance (especially during the last scene) and transforming with her acting an otherwise just nice well-done film into a meaningful experience.
