I might still be processing all of the over-the-top, dramatic red carpet looks from last night’s VMAs, but — at the same time — I’m also fawning over all of the amazing beauty looks worn by those celebs.

Everything from bold lips to bejeweled winged liner was seen last night, and in case you too are wondering how these looks were achieved, read on for a detailed breakdown of some of these beauty looks:

Anitta wore a soft smoky eye and a perfect nude lip.

Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta posted on his Instagram a breakdown of makeup products he used on singer Anitta at last night's VMAs. He used all Patrick Ta Beauty's products. 

For Anitta's soft rose-colored smoky eye, he used the Major Dimensions II Rose eyeshadow palette. For her sculpted cheeks, he used a combo of She's Blushing and She's Baked blushes. For her nude lip, he used She's Independent Lip Cream underneath Major Volume Plumping Lip Gloss. 

The singer's nails were done by celebrity nail artist Naomi Yasuda who used a KISS Manicure Kit and the KISS Salon Dip Color System to create a champagne chrome ombré effect. 

Dixie D'Amelio wore an effortless bun.

To create the TikTok star's sleek hairstyle, celebrity stylist and Aquage brand ambassador Laura Polko used several different products and techniques. 

“To get the look, I started out by mixing up Aquage’s Transforming Paste, Defining Gel, Silkening Oil Treatment, and a little Finishing Spray for good hold, working the mixture through the back of her hair towards the front," she said in a press release. 

After using a blow dryer to lock in the product and style, Laura pulled Dixie's hair back into a loose bun. “To polish off the look, I applied a little more Defining Gel and applied low heat with the T3 Dryer to set everything into place," she added.

Latto has sky-high voluminous lashes and sun-kissed skin.

Latto's makeup artist, Melissa Ocasio, relied on Deck of Scarlet products to create the rapper's sun-kissed glow and voluminous lashes. 

After foundation, Melissa applied Deck of Scarlet Mistake Proof Bronzer in the shade Illicit all over Latto's skin. She then applied Deck of Scarlet Mirror Glaze Highlighting Trio with a brush on the rapper's cheeks and body to give her skin a sun-kissed glow. 

On her lashes, Melissa applied several coats of Deck of Scarlet Big Lash Energy Mascara. To create natural feathered fluffy brows, she brushed Latto's brow hairs up with the Deck of Scarlet Over-Arching Brow Kit in Soft Brown.

Lil Nas X showed off his fabulous hair and nails.

To achieve Lil Nas X's fabulous look at last night's show, celebrity hairstylist Coree Moreno used götb Metallics Permanent Hair Color in Blue Charcoal in the "Montero" singer's hair. 

Coree then styled Lil Nas's high-top fade. "We defused his hair with göt2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray upside down until it was dry and fluffed with a pick," he said in a press release.

For his nails, celebrity nail artist Temeka Jackson applied OPI classic shades Black Onyx and Bubble Bath, paired with some fun nail art.

Taylor Swift's Hollywood glam consisted of a bejeweled winged liner and a red lip.

In a press release, celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath explained how she achieved Taylor's stunning beauty look. 

“Tonight's look for the 2022 VMAs was sophisticated, sultry, and sublime. A combination of Divine Skin, a crystal winged eye created with my new Mothership X: Moonlit Seduction Eye Palette, and the perfect red lip with LiquiLust Legendary Wear Lipstick in Elson 4."

Lizzo's flawless skin was on full display.

Charlotte Tilbury's products were used to achieve Lizzo's flawless-looking skin last night. The "About Damn Time" singer's skin was first prepped with Charlotte Tilbury's Glow Toner and Magic Cream. 

Her makeup artist then used Beautiful Skin Foundation and Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer to even out her skin. 

Becky G's bronzed, glowy skin and bold lip turned heads.

Makeup artist Deanna Paley shared Becky's makeup breakdown in an Instagram post. She used BeautyBlender's Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation in shades 3.65 N Tan Neutral and 3.55 N/O Tan Olive on her skin, and Bounce Creamy Bronzer in the shade Nutmeg. She topped off Becky's bronzed look with the Bounce Highlighter in Pearl and Treslúce Beauty Date Night & Weekend Vibez blush. 

For her eyes, she used Treslúce Beauty's La Flor de Mexico Shadow palette, and Treslúce Beauty's Accomplished liner in her water line. Lastly, her bold lip was achieved using Treslúce Beauty's Intenso Liner in Amor. The final look was chef's kiss.
