Exclusive: First Look At PETA's NSFW New Super Bowl Spot (And The Crazy Ads That Led Up To It)

So, PETA is launching their new Super Bowl ad right here on BuzzFeed. It has girls fellating vegetables in it, so I wouldn't necessarily count on seeing this air during the actual Super Bowl. Here it is, followed by an illuminating tour of banned PETA Super Bowl ads from the last decade.

  • The New Ad: "Casting Session"

In 2009, PETA offered NBC $3 million to run a Super Bowl ad called "Veggie Love", which featured sexy ladies hanging out with vegetables and a message that "vegetarians have better sex". NBC politely declined. This year's spot highlights some of the outtakes from that video. Here's a first look at it. It's pretty intense.

  • The 2009 Ad: "Veggie Love"

Here's "Veggie Love", the 2009 ad that, tragically, never saw the light of day during the Super Bowl.

  • 2008: Chicken Prison

It's not all sexy chicks rubbing vegetables on themselves! (I want that written on my tombstone.) In 2009, PETA saw fit to send this spot for consideration to the Super Bowl ad committee. It features a sadistic Colonel Sanders torturing chickens in a prison. There's a whole series of these, if you're interested.

  • 2006: "Milk Gone Wild"

This is actually probably the craziest of all of these ads, which is an impressive feat. The very idea that this would run during the Super Bowl is preposterous. The girls have udders! It's worth watching, but make sure no one's around when you do.

  • 2004: "Pizza Delivery"

And, we're back to the hallowed ground of sexy girls and vegetables. This little piece of porn-themed, pro-vegetable propaganda was the first PETA ad to vie for a spot in the Super Bowl. It never saw the light of day, clearly, but here it is!

  • And Beyond ...

PETA is going to be releasing a series of audition tapes from the "Veggie Love" casting call over the next week, so that should be fun? Here are a few of the would-be PETA starlets who are going to be featured.
