    Cologne Bonn International Airport

Located around 15 km from the center of Cologne and 16 km from Bonn, the airport is the biggest base for Germanwings, Eurowings, FedEx Express and UPS Airlines. This is also where agencies like DLR or EAC prepare astronauts for space flights.

Passengers value Cologne – Bonn Airport for its modern architecture, cleanliness and the practicality of the way both the terminals are designed. At Terminal 1, resembling a shape of a “U” letter, you can find not only check-in stations and services points but also retail stores and restaurants. This terminal is used by Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Eurowings and Germanwings airlines. The terminal is directly connected with a train station. The construction of Terminal 2 started in 1997 and the first flight operations took place in 2000. There is a non-denominational praying room at Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is also used by airlines such as Air Berlin, Ryanair, KLM and Iran Air. Both the terminals are connected via a travolator.
