    If you haven't heard, the Mandela Effect is a popular conspiracy theory that has taken the Internet by storm.

    From popular Youtubers such as Shane Dawson to the popular subreddit r/MandelaEffect, it all started with the death of Nelson Mandela back in 2013. Many people came up and said they clearly remembered Nelson Mandela dying back in 1991.

    In fact, there's published works that claim that Mandela passed away on July 23rd, 1991.

    The theory is that, somehow, our universe switched into a parallel universe, leading to changes in very fine, minute details. Ever since the Mandela effect gained popularity, hundreds of new ones have popped up all over the internet.
