    Before practicing yoga, we must first have a suitable yoga mat that will let you not slip when trying new poses.

    Give yourself the best experience in your yoga practice by choosing the best yoga mat. With options from newbie to hot yoga expert, there is something for everyone.

    1. When buying a new yoga mat, the first thing to consider is the density of the mat, which will ensure your comfort when posing and protect your joints from over-compensation and scratches. A yoga mat is equivalent to the sole of a running shoe. It should not be too soft or too hard.

    2. No matter what kind of yoga you practice, your stability is essential. If you're a sweaty yogi, try using a mat to increase grip and absorption. Yoga body towels or Maca towels work well in this area and are especially useful in yoga classes.

    3. You could also have a go at creating your own mat cleaner. Our favourite solution is from Oh She Glows

    1 cup white vinegar

    3 cups filtered water

    1 tsp tea tree oil

    Essential oil (about 10-30 drops depending preference) peppermint, lavender, and thyme are nice, but use anything you like!

    Simply place all ingredients into a large spray bottle and shake before each use.
