The Horror Movie For Horror Movie Haters
"What can you believe when you can't trust yourself?"
If you're anything like me and hate scary movies, then this horror film is for you. Yes you read that correctly.
I was watching BuzzFeed videos in my dorm yesterday, when a movie trailer came on. I never skip them because movie watching is one of my favorite hobbies. I sat there with a bite of food halfway to my mouth, and a dropped jaw.
The trailer starts off with the main character lying in bed, looking at her phone, which is flooded with messages from someone named David. The woman, who isn't given a name in the trailer, has changed all of her personal information, including her address after realizing she is being stalked. She blames her fear laden imagination for seeing her stalker everywhere she goes, and decides to visit the doctor. While there, she signs some routine papers. Well, it turns out these forms weren't so routine after all. The woman involuntarily checks herself into a mental institution.
Upon being checked into this mental institution, the woman starts going crazy. She, again, claims her stalker is in the facility. However, it is still just her imagination. The woman is able to make a phone call, and in the next frame of the trailer her mom is telling her she will get her out of that place. Unfortunately, the police can't let her do that unless she has proof of a crime being committed. And since no one but the woman has seen this man, they technically have no proof, and have to keep her there.
If you've ever seen the trailer for an action or horror movie, you know that pretty much the whole movie is compressed into the last thirty seconds with some intense music. That's exactly what happens here, as we find out her stalker may actually be out there, and may or may not have killed the woman's mother?? It's pretty wild, so just go watch it for yourself.
