Recently, three BuzzFeeders set out on a daunting mission: to buy ALL their looks for a coworker's destination wedding in Colombia from Amazon — with a budget of $100 per person. (And, obviously, succeed at looking super cute.) Here's how it turned out.
First up, outfits for welcome-party drinks!
Ella wanted something that exuded "vacation-beachy vibes," so she went with this comfy, swingy yellow dress with fun bell sleeves and a drop-waist.
Kelsey chose this lightweight striped number that's practically begging you to wear it on a boat.
Plus she snagged this super-cute bikini for under $15 (!).
Caitlin, who said she was "trying to be more daring," bought this gorgeous, flowy red halter dress (and bonus: rocked it braless).
Next up: beach-day looks!
Ella wanted a dress that would give her Insta a "pop of color," and scored pockets to boot with this v. comfy plum-hued maxi dress.
Kelsey was looking for something light and full-length that would provide her with come protection from the sun and got this pretty patterned caftan cover-up that did the trick, accessorized with an adorable straw hat.
AND she bought a second swimsuit to pair with this look: a simple, solid-colored high-waisted bikini.
Caitlin tried two looks — this super-soft crochet cover-up that she described as "very loose but oddly flattering"...
...and this sexy lingerie-esque cover-up that she felt was a better choice for lounging at the pool than for beachgoing.
Then it was time for outfits for a sightseeing day of ~leisure~.
Ella got this super-chic geometric-print dress that "feels like quality" and that she'd happily wear to work too.
Kelsey was a little worried about wearing this cover-up that seemed totally opaque in photos but was quite sheer IRL and had major side slits — but it actually ended up being perfect for walking around hot and sunny Cartagena during the day.
Caitlin scored this cute halter-neck maxi dress that was the perfect length and featured a flattering belted waist.
And finally, the reception looks themselves:
Ella took a risk — and lucked out with this elegant AF, "10 out of 10" romper dress that, tbh, pretty much stole the show.
Unfortunately, Kelsey's floral-print dress wasn't quite wedding-appropriate, though it could make for a cute beach cover-up.
But Caitlin's vintage-style rockabilly dress was a hit — complete with sweetheart neckline and adorable lace-up-back detailing.
In total, Ella's looks rang up to $100 even, Caitlin spent $100.25, and Kelsey went just a bit over budget, with a grand total of $112. Check out the full video here!
