Super convenient whether I am in bed or in on the couch. I do have a bed with an adjustable base (controlled by another remote I was constantly losing), so I was concerned that it would not work when the bed was adjusted. Luckily it fights pretty tightly between the mattress and the platform. Every so often I do have to slide it back to its original position, but that is not very often.
