It was the first time Kim has spoken about the horrific ordeal, and before the episode aired she took to Twitter to tell fans that it'd be difficult for her to watch it back.
Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me.
She went on to reveal exactly why she'd chosen to recount the events on the show rather than in an interview.
However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted.
And made this point, which shut down any criticism of her "exploiting" her experience "for ratings."
I have always shared so much & I'm not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me.
Kim went on to say she'd learned from the experience, and felt lucky to have escaped the ordeal physically unharmed.
I would never wish this experience upon anyone,but have learned some valuable lessons &feel so blessed to be safe home w my babies & husband
She also thanked her friends, her family, and the French police.
To my friends, family, and loved ones I can't thank you enough for being there when I needed you the most.
To the French police, thank you for your incredible hard work.
She shared the same message on Instagram, alongside the last family photo they took in Paris just before the robbery.
The KUWTK episode was incredibly emotional, with Kim recounting the ordeal minute by minute. At one point she revealed she had "mentally prepared" herself to be raped and shot in the head.
And the response to the episode was overwhelmingly positive, with many people praising Kim for her bravery.

Kim then tweeted, saying how glad she was to have learned from the experience.
I took a tragic horrific experience and did not let it diminish me, rather grew and evolved and allowed the experience to teach me.
And thanked fans for allowing her the space to tell her story.

The rest of the family then shared their thoughts. Kourtney said she'd "never forget" the phone call she received from Kim after the robbery.
