However, since then the pair appear to have happily moved on. Anna is reportedly dating cinematographer Michael Barrett, while Chris has been linked to Katherine Schwarzenegger for the last six months.
Well, it appears that Chris, 39, has now decided to make his relationship public and official with an adorable Instagram post dedicated to Katherine on her 29th birthday.
He shared this montage of lovely photographs of Katherine, alongside a caption which gushed about his feelings for her.
"Your smile lights up the room," he wrote, "I’ve cherished our time together. Thrilled God put you in my life."
Not only did the post make their relationship official, but it also allowed fans the chance to see a handful of the pair's candid moments from the last six months. So of course people were quick to swarm the comments with happy and supportive messages for the couple.
