12 Cocktails That Will Restore Your Faith In Tequila

It’s not all shots and margaritas, you know. Celebrate National Tequila Day on July 24 with 100% agave el Jimador tequila.

You'll need:

2 oz el Jimador Silver tequila

3 splashes Worcestershire sauce

3 splashes Sriracha

½ tsp horseradish

½ oz fresh lime juice

4 oz tomato juice

Celery stalk, for garnish

Olives, for garnish

Lime wedge, for garnish

Steps: Combine all ingredients in shaker except for garnishes. Strain into ice-filled glass, then garnish with celery, olives, and lime wedge.

You'll need:

Salt

2 oz el Jimador Reposado tequila

5 oz cola

1 oz lime juice

Lime wedge, for garnish

Steps: Rim highball glass with salt, then add ice. Stir in tequila, cola, and lime juice, and garnish with lime wedge.

You'll need:

2 cups ice cubes

Handful of fresh mint leaves

2 oz el Jimador Reposado or Añejo tequila

1 oz lime juice

1 oz lemon juice

1 lime, quartered

Sprigs of mint, for garnish

Steps: Place ice cubes, mint leaves, tequila, lime juice, and lemon juice in blender. Squeeze juice from limes and divide limes between each glass. Blend until well combined. Divide between glasses and top with sprigs of mint.

You'll need:

1 ½ oz el Jimador Reposado tequila

1 splash grenadine

3 oz blood orange juice

1 oz orange juice, to top

Steps: Pour ingredients together over ice. For extra style points, grind blood-orange pulp and add to the bottom of glass before ice. Top with orange juice.

You'll need:

1 oz raspberry puree

2 oz sour mix

1 splash soda

Fresh raspberries, for garnish

Steps: In shaker, add all ingredients plus ice and shake to mix. Pour into sugared margarita glass and garnish with fresh raspberries.

You'll need:

Juice of 3 oranges

1 oz triple sec

1 oz el Jimador Añejo tequila

Orange wedge, for garnish

Steps: Moisten the rim of glass with juice from orange and coat in salt. Pour the rest of the juice, triple sec, and tequila into shaker. Shake well and pour over ice. Garnish with orange wedge.

You'll need:

1 ½ oz el Jimador Silver tequila

¾ oz grapefruit juice

¾ oz lime juice

⅓ oz simple syrup

½ oz ginger beer

1 splash grenadine

Lime wedge, for garnish

Steps: Blend tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice together. Pour into glass with ginger beer and add splash of grenadine. Garnish with lime wedge.

You'll need:

3 to 5 blackberries

5 mint leaves

2 oz el Jimador Silver tequila

1 oz grapefruit juice

½ oz simple syrup

Steps: Muddle blackberries and mint in cocktail shaker. Add tequila, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup to ice, then shake well. Serve.

You'll need:

1 ½ oz el Jimador Añejo tequila

½ oz triple sec

3 oz sour mix

Salt

Lime wedge, for garnish

Steps: In shaker, add all ingredients plus ice and shake to mix. Pour into salt-rimmed glass and garnish with lime wedge.

You'll need:

2 oz el Jimador Silver tequila

1 oz fresh lemon juice

¾ oz simple syrup

3 splashes grapefruit bitters

Sparkling water, to top

Lemon wheel, for garnish

Steps: Fill glass with ice and add tequila, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters. Top with sparkling water and stir. Garnish with lemon wheel.

You'll need:

Salt

2 oz el Jimador Reposado tequila

3 oz grapefruit juice

2 oz soda

1 oz fresh lime juice

Steps: Rim glass with salt, then pour tequila, grapefruit juice, soda, and lime juice over ice.
