    If, like me, you spend a lot of time scrolling through TikTok, then you might have come across the recent "girl math" trend.

    In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, allow me to explain. "Girl math" is used as a way to justify spending habits, especially on larger purchases or things not deemed as necessary.

    The phrase seemingly originated from New Zealand radio show "Fletch, Vaughan & Hayley”, where they help callers rethink their spending habits, making almost any purchase feel as if it was "basically free".
