10 Signs You're Too Old To Go Trick-Or-Treating On Halloween

Unsure whether or not to go trick or treating this Halloween? If you find these bullet points relatable, maybe you should think twice before you join the kids in the neighborhood...

1. Your Old Costume Doesn't Fit Anymore

That Batman costume that fitted soo perfectly just doesn’t anymore! What happened? You probably feel like the last time you wore it was yesterday! Time flies, and many of us will always miss parts of our childhood and it is saddening that some things don’t just stay the same, but that’s life, we just have to move on...

2. You Can Afford To Buy Your Own Candy

What? Money in the bank? Food in the pantry? What is all that about? Having enough money to buy your own candy, and not living under your parents roof is maybe a sign that you’re getting too old to go out begging for candy…

3. Your Friends Are Partying

So, the question here is why aren’t you at the same party as your friends? You should have a really good excuse for not going out with your friends. Going trick-or-treating is definitely not one of them.

4. You're Taller Than Everyone Else

You’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time. Planning your costume, figuring out who to go with, decorating your house, and just in general making sure everything is in its place before the big day. Suddenly, when the day comes, you find yourself being the tallest one in the squad. This might be a sign you’re getting too old…

5. You Have Kids

If you have kids, you’re definitely too old to go trick or treating. Supervising your kids at halloween is okay to a certain age, but at one point your kids are mature and old enough to go alone.

6. You Use Your Kids As An Excuse To Go Trick-or-Treating

Oh...kay, so here's the thing. You really want to go trick-or-treating, but you apparently don't realize that you're too old. So, what do you do? You end up using your kids as an excuse because none of your friends will join you. Suddenly, your crush is catching you while you're dressed up like a half-of-peanut-butter-and-jelly-sandwich, making a bad excuse that you were just roped into this. I guess this is an awkward situation you would rather avoid. Time to face the fact that you're too old for trick-or-treating.

7. You're Drunk

LOL. This is interesting. If you're drunk now, there is no way you're young enough to go trick-or-treating. You should go to a kick-ass party and dance like a maniac.

8. You're Hoping That The Treat Is Alcohol, Not Candy

You're probably still drunk.. If you're hoping that the treat is alcohol you're either too wasted to remember anything about the halloween custom where CHILDREN go from house to house asking for CANDY or you're just looking for a place to get some free drinks. Anyhow, you're definitely too old to go trick-or-treating.

9. Your Princess Costume Is Sexy, Not Cute

When you show up asking for candy in this outfit, one might assume that you’re not only looking for candy… Go home! Or go to a halloween party with all your other slutty friends.

10. You Need To Make Your Own Costume, Because The Costume Stores Don’t Carry Your Size Anymore

ICE ICE Baby! The costume can turn out pretty epic, but it’s still a sign you’re a little too old to go trick-or-treating...
