Yes, you heard right! Michael Keaton is coming back to the big screen in the famous cape and cowl for future movie projects including the Flashpoint Paradox movie set to release in 2022. So what does this all mean exactly?

Tim Burton’s Batman in ‘89 is a iconic masterpiece that blew people away and paved the way for many superhero movies to come afterwards. It is truly one of the best summer blockbusters in cinematic history. It’s about time that they did something to attract audiences who once fell in love with the gothic-esque of Burton’s Gotham City. If you are familiar with the Flashpoint Paradox story, you’ll know that Batman play a very important role but instead it would be Thomas Wayne avenging the death of his son, Bruce. The movie is mainly about the flash and him going back in time to save his mother from dying. Of course, some points in the plot line won’t be exactly the same. DC will probably want to introduce different universes in this movie including the Burton-Schumacher universe which brings us to Michael Keaton.

A few things have been confirmed. We will be seeing Michael Keaton in the batsuit and that he will reprise the same role as Bruce Wayne he played 30 years ago. It won’t be a huge role in the movie. Probably a long cameo. But wait, there’s more...

What other future projects will there be?

I’m personally rooting for a Batman Beyond film because the concept of Michael Keaton coming back as an old Bruce Wayne works out out great. I just hope they find someone good enough to play Terry McGinnis. Also, they might make a Batgirl movie where Michael Keaton is her mentor.

There have been talks of Warner Bros saying that they want Tim Burton to direct the Batman Beyond movie and the Batgirl film as well. Rumors of Michelle Pfeiffer also returning as Catwoman have been brought up. I’m not surprised if Danny Elfman composes the music for Batman Beyond. Since he composed both Batman and Batman Returns.
