1. To prism or not to prism, how is that not a good question:

Prisming has started as a new technique developed by Brandon Woefel, not only has it catapulted my art but also my creativity to the next level. The amount of things this small 3 way mirror can do is quite insane and you can’t be without it. So give it a shot and see what amazing things you can do with it.

2. For low light or night shots set exposure compensation back -1 to help get those difficult to capture shots (works only for those planning to edit!)

So when you are stuck in those sticky situations. Rely on good ol’ faithful Histogram to come to the rescue. Whether you are shooting in Aperture mode (A) or Manual Mode (M) You can set your exposure compensation to -1 to get those shots your need and then bring the light back up in the photo later. It differs between camera models but they should carry the same settings. But do your research for your camera model and you’ll get the gist of it.

3. Learn to use the right Aperture for your subjects to get the best Depth of Field for certain subjects.

So here’s something of great value when it comes to shooting subjects. Use the appropriate depths for them. Now this can vary from lens to lens as some have limited or better control of depth perception. But ideally I found that F1.4/2.0 worked best for single subjects F2.8/3.2/4.0 can be used for say 2-3 people and for groups F4.0/4.5/5.6 for more than at least 6 people.
