1. Diapers Are YOUR Decision

Don’t let ANYONE tell you when your baby needs a new diaper. Rashes are very

common, so don’t let people tell you it’s your fault if your newborn gets one. Six

hours per diaper is ideal for family gatherings, because those nosy aunts usually stop asking to hold them after the third hour.

2. Decorate Your Baby’s Room For YOU

It’s 2016, and we are FINALLY moving past the old fashioned “blue for boys, pink for girls” nonsense. According to science, babies are not aware of their surroundings, so you have the license to do you! How about a chandelier over the crib? Or maybe a nice gold wallpaper, so everyone will notice you are staying classy well into motherhood! If anyone buys you anything you don’t want, don’t be afraid to throw it directly into the trash! The last thing you need is your husband’s family ruining your artistic inspiration!

3. Nobody Knows Your Baby Like You Do

No amount of education or experience gives ANYONE the right to tell you what your baby needs! Even if your father-in-law is a so-called “doctor of medicine”, when it’s time to decide what’s best for your baby during a gathering, it’s time for the family to zip it. You spend all day and night with this baby that is practically attached to you, so how would they have any idea what your baby needs? Even if they somehow manage to diagnose your baby correctly, they are still wrong if you don’t agree with them!
