_The Secret Life of Pets_ features multiple small cameos and references from some other Illumination films. Not only can Gru be seen walking Kyle in the background when Max and other dogs are being walked themselves at the beginning of the film, but the bus that Snowball drove towards the end of the film trying to chase the Animal Control van had an advertisement for _Sing_ in the back, which came out in theaters a few months after _The Secret Life of Pets_. The owner of Norman also had two Minions lying on his bedside table. Talk about attention to detail and making you want to re-watch and over-analyze film scenes!
