Does McGregor Have A Chance?

Forbes / Via

You’ve most likely seen the names Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor show up on your newsfeed recently. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an American professional boxer known to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. Most Notably, Mayweather holds an undefeated professional record of 49-0. Conor McGregor is an Irish professional mixed martial artist. During the Ultimate Fighting Championship McGregor often made public insults towards Mayweather. Though retired, the forty-year-old boxing legend has agreed to come out of retirement for a final fight with McGregor. Rick Strom of TYT Sports had the opportunity to sit down with 15-year NBA veteran Kendall Gill and get his opinion on this renowned fight, which will occur, next month in Vegas. Gill’s bets are on Mayweather, especially given that McGregor has never boxed professionally. Moreover, Gill believes that though retired, Mayweather has still been practicing and is in solid shape. He credits this because Mayweather has not picked up any weight since retirement. Additionally, McGregor is projected to earn around 100 million dollars in reimbursements surrounding the fight. Kendall Gill laughs and says he wouldn’t mind getting punched around for that payout either. Gill predicts that Mayweather will end up fighting someone else after McGregor to really solidify his record. If you ask Kendall Gill he thinks Mayweather’s next fight should be with Danny Garcia, adding on that the one person he shouldn’t and can’t fight is Errol Spence Jr. Identifying him as everything you don’t want to fight when you are forty-years old.
