I Tried The Viral Tiktok Cargos, And Let's Just Say You Need To Not Walk But *Run* To Go Get These

Spoiler alert: I've never been so obsessed with an item of clothing in my whole 24 years of living.

The most important thing you should know about me is that I live in baggy cargo pants. I mean, I actually don't remember the last time I left the house in anything else. I consider myself a cargo connoisseur if you like, so there's no way I couldn't try these ones that have been all over my 'for you' page. Also, any excuse to buy a new pair of cargos and I'm all for it – but that's not the point.

Let's get the details out of the way so we can really get into it. So, here's everything you need to know about the Brandit M65 vintage cargos. They come in five different colour options (black, olive, and three different camo colours), have a sizing range of S-7XL, and depending on which style and size you pick, retail at £31.20 - £58.49. (Spoiler: they're worth EVERY penny).

First up, let's look at sizing. These are advertised as men's cargos but hey, that wouldn't stop me (or the other few thousand people on TikTok). I saw that these have an adjustable waist as they're fitted with two little buckles along the waist band. I love the look of having cargos that cinch in at the waist and then get very baggy, so this sounds promising so far.

I should probably mention that I'm 5'10 and a UK size 10, so cargos almost always come up too short on me. Bearing this (and the fact that I obsess over a super baggy fit) in mind, I decided to go for the XL size. In terms of colour I opted for the "dark camo" style (simply because that's one of the only colourways I don't already own). I told you, I love a good cargo.

When I went to order them from Amazon I saw they fall under Prime's "try before you buy", which basically means that with a Prime account you have seven days to try them out before getting charged. As if I wasn't already sold on buying them, once I saw that I *ran* to checkout.

They arrived on time and best believe I waited a total of 0.3 seconds before ripping the parcel open. Here's a picture before what can only be described as an Amazon package ✨demolition✨.

When I first opened it, my heart sank because I really thought I messed up the sizing.

The waist seemed too wide for me and there was no drawstring, but when I tell you those little buckles along the waist line saved me, I mean they saved me – but let me not get ahead of myself.

Okay other than that, first impressions: the quality of the fabric is 10/10. It's not cheap and thin, it's good quality cotton that's for sure. Colour and print? Way better than it looked online, and I was immediately happy with the style I picked! I would definitely recommend opting for this colour option (not that I'm biased or anything).

This was the exact moment I felt like that girl, and is the very reason why since that moment, I've not left the house wearing anything else (true story). I wore them mid-waisted and styled them with some high top trainers, which is a look that's very in right now.

After moving around in them, I've found the leg length is absolutely *chef's kiss*, which as I mentioned, is usually the bane of my life.

If you're worried about them being too long you can always wear them as a high-waisted piece, or even tighten the strings around the bottom to make them cuff in at the ankle.

To conclude, if you ever see me out anywhere in public, you'll know it's me because I absolutely will be wearing these. Or the same ones in any (and every) other colour. If that doesn't tell you how I feel about them, maybe this GIF will make it a little clearer.

If you're as sold as I (clearly) am, you can check them out yourself right here!
