I Tried The Daily Journal That Claims To Be Your Very Own Self-Help Book – Here's Everything You Need To Know

"Book" doesn't even do it justice, it's an experience.

If you know me you'll know I love all things self-development. I'm talking meditation exercises, self-help books, daily journals, you name it. I recently got my hands on Vex King and Kaushal's new daily journal which, let's just say, is so much more than just a journal.

Okay let's get into this a little more. The Greatest Self-Help Book is a daily journal that guides you through different therapy-led exercises and activities to take you on your own journey of self-exploration and development. Basically, it'll become your own custom self-help book!

Firstly, something I absolutely LOVE about this book is its intro. It briefs you through the concept of journalling and its value, so if this is a new experience for you you're not thrown straight in at the deep end. Journalling is a personal journey, and one thing this book definitely does from the very start is make you feel supported through it all.

Before the journalling actually starts, you're talked through the activities you'll meet throughout the book and why they hold so much value, how to establish an effective daily routine, and what to do when you start to fall behind with your journal.

Next up, you create your very own "calm kit" and "reverse bucket list". Your calm kit is what you resort to when you need some extra emotional support, and your reverse bucket list is a way to acknowledge all of your achievements and accomplishments to date.

Right, now we get to the bulk of it – the daily journal. Let's break it down.

Each day starts with its own positive affirmation (l don't know about you, but I love a good affirmation), followed by a chance for you to fill out how you're feeling emotionally.

Next, you're asked two questions that help to get you thinking. They're different each day, and framed to help you practise gratitude and self-love, learn more about yourself, and acknowledge any opportunities for self-growth.

To end the daily entry there's a chance for you to reflect on whether you've cared for your mind, body, and spirit, helping you to be aware of your entire being. There's also some space for you to vent and release whatever's on your mind. You write it, and let it go.

Every few days there's an extra activity for you to get into, whether it be a mindful colouring exercise or something thought-provoking that allows you to delve even deeper into yourself.

Whether you're a regular journaler, are entirely new to the practise, or are just on the hunt for some direction or emotional support whilst on your own journey of self-growth, love, and true happiness – I genuinely couldn't recommend this book enough.

This is the most supported and personally guided I've ever felt from a journalling experience, so if you're eager to (most likely) feel the same way I do about this absolute gem of a self-help book, you can shop it here!
