    I've Finally Mastered The 'Clean Girl' Makeup Look – Here's Everything I Used To Do It

    If you're normally all-or-nothing when it comes to makeup, you'll probably know the struggle of trying to master a natural(ish) makeup look. After quite a few test runs over the years (I'm not even being dramatic), I've finally found a routine to nail that "clean girl" makeup look that's all over TikTok RN, and I'm about to put you onto it.

    1. Step one: The Inky List hyaluronic acid hydrating serum.

    You may have heard this before, but I'm here to tell you again – skin prep is unbelievably crucial. I like to use this before bed and also in the morning before starting my makeup for the day. Wash your face with your usual products, then follow it with a generous amount of this hyaluronic acid serum. Not only will it leave your skin super hydrated, but it also creates a super smooth and seamless canvas to begin your makeup on. Also remember that when you're not working with too many makeup products, this becomes even more key.

    2. Step two: Bondi Sands fragrance-free SPF 50+.

    Follow the serum up with a good moisturiser that works for you (I personally use a basic one from my local pharmacy), before finishing up my skin prep with this SPF lotion. If you want to create a naturally glowy and radiant look, or just love a super hydrating and moisturising base, you will absolutely fall in love with this sunscreen. Not only does it give you UVA and UVB protection (which is absolutely vital BTW), it also creates a healthy looking complexion.

    3. Step three: 17. Second Skin Enhancing foundation.

    When I tell you that this foundation is the biggest game-changer when it comes to creating that clean aesthetic, please believe me. The name "second skin" is probably the most fitting description for it, because it genuinely just creates a more flawless, evened version of your natural skin tone. Don't get me wrong, there's still a decent amount of coverage you can get with this, so if that's something you're looking for don't rule this one out because it's super buildable. I normally take this right up to my lower lash line when applying it to my face, so that I can skip applying any concealer. Whenever I add concealer I feel as though my makeup ends up looking a lot more full coverage than I would like it to, so the fact that this foundation can double up as a light coverage concealer is music to my ears.

    4. Step four: Beauty Bakerie translucent setting powder.

    If you're prone to creasing or prefer a slightly more matte finish to your makeup, dust this powder over your face with a brush, or push it into your skin using a beauty sponge. A lot of powders can create a much heavier or cakey look, but the reason I love this powder so much is that it's super light on the skin. As it's so finely-milled, you can pack quite a decent amount of powder onto your face (helping the makeup to last well throughout the day), without worrying about your base starting to look significantly heavier.

    5. Step five: NYX brow glue.

    To create a natural looking brow that just looks more put together, this brow glue is absolutely perfect. Brush it through your brow hairs and in a matter of seconds you have a much neater looking brow.

    6. Step six: Makeup Revolution precise brow pencil.

    If you want to thicken up the appearance of your brows or fill in any sparse areas, this brow pencil is great. You can subtly fill in any gaps without creating a brow that looks too bold.

    7. Step seven: 17. Extreme Extension Lengthening mascara.

    If you haven't tried this mascara already, let me tell you it is sensational. My natural lashes have literally never looked as good as they do in this mascara and I'm so obsessed with it. It does exactly what it says on the tin and helps to accentuate the length of my natural lashes without creating a clumpy effect. It's also buildable, so if you also want the option of a volumised look, this is definitely the one.

    8. Step eight: Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry glass tint.

    LOOKFANTASTIC

    If you want a subtle wash of colour over your lips, these tints are definitely the way to go. Personally, I love to wear one of the nude shades with a brown lip liner on a light makeup day, but I have quite a few colours from this range and love them all TBH.

    9. Step nine: Makeup Revolution hyaluronic fixing spray.

    Finish up your face with some of this hydrating fixing spray. It helps to rehydrate your skin and improve the longevity of your makeup, and since buying it I pretty much can't do my makeup without it.
