RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 9 - Power Rankings

This week, the queens tested their acting chops, and then hit their runway in their best geriatric drag.

1) Aquaria

The age of Aquaria continues. Post Vixen/Eureka, it seems like Aquaria's storyline is going to be the end-game for this season. The rest of the queens are trying to knock her down for being too cocky and full of herself, but she keeps on impressing and slaying challenges that aren't within her comfort zone. Aquaria is galvanized to win, and It's refreshing to see a queen really WANT the crown and not just the exposure that comes with being on the show.

With upcoming challenges being most likely the makeover and another ball, I doubt Aquaria will land anywhere near the bottom. Watch out queens, Aquaria might just take your spot in the winners circle.

2) Asia O'Hara

Asia was a mixed bag for me this week. I thought she was probably the most memorable in what was a cringey acting challenge, but not exactly the funniest. I think her overall presence and charisma is what pushed her to the win this week, but I thought Monet was slightly funnier overall. Then again, the script didn't give the queens much to work with here.

Ru clearly loves Asia. She had high expectations for the pageant legend going into this season, but she's fallen short. Asia's win this week signifies what will most likely be an upward trajectory to the top three. Along with Monet, she's the only one bringing any sort of personality to this top 6, so hopefully she's here for the long haul.

3) Eureka

This week proves to me that Eureka is no longer getting that "winner's edit". That definitely goes to Aquaria. No winner in drag race herstory has been in the BTM2 more than once (besides all stars seasons, but we don't talk about most of those). The bitch turned it out though! Eureka's lipsync was definitely worthy of a double shantay, and that gif of Kameron and Eureka both dropping into the splits perfectly in sync is one for the herstory books.

Storyline: 8

Eureka is getting a strong edit, but to the general fanbase, she comes across as unlikeable. She's getting a chance to redeem herself from season 9 and overcome *many* of her fears. Her storyline won't end with being crowned, it'll end with her proving that she's a fierce queen by making it far, even if she makes some enemies along the way.

4) Monet X Change

Ah Monet. The ever so loveable Monet. I really think this was her last opportunity to win a challenge, but I don't think she will at this point. Monet is a queen who will largely benefit from a bit more coin to up her fashion and she could slay an all stars season.

I think Monet was one of the strongest in the challenge this week, but the judges don't seem to want to give her a win. She's a narrator, but she's not getting any kind of edit that would push her to the top three. She had her mini redemption arc post her two lipsyncs, but I think we've seen all there is from Monet.

5) Kameron Michaels

I've warmed up a lot to Kameron over the past few episodes. She might have flopped in the acting this week, but she's consistently one of the best on the runway and bitch she turned OUT that lipsync. I fear for anyone having to go against her.

Storyline: 7

Kameron is likeable and sweet, but I just don't think she's large enough of a presence to carry the drag race crown. As we saw in untucked, Kameron has a lot of insecurities within himself that she needs to work out before she can truly shine.

6) Miz Cracker

I think Cracker is just a queen who doesn't excel within the format of drag race. Outside of the show, she's proven to be funny and likeable, but none of that is translating here. She comes across extremely rehearsed and in her head.

Storyline: 7

She's flopping every comedy challenge that comes her way, rarely impressing on the runway, and she's getting the Nina Bonina "you're in your head" edit. Cracker isn't making it much farther.
