Time to Make Some Coin

This week, the queen's were dropped in a real-life setting - DragCon. Some queens were naturals, but a few stumbled.

1) Eureka

Give it up for the big girls!! Eureka is absolutely slaying the competition, being the first queen of the season to win two challenges, solidifying her front-runner status. She had such an ease moderating the drag-con panel and completely stunned on the runway this week. Eureka is probably the most fashionable big girl the show has ever had, she knows exactly how to "proportionize".

Eureka was a bit more laid back this week, which is what the fanbase wants from her. She's quite the polarizing figure, so I'm not sure if the show would ever crown her, but this episode definitely worked in her favour in getting more of the fanbase on her side.

2) Monet X Change

Monet brought us to CHURCH this week honey. The last two weeks being in the bottom two seems to have shaken off any of the nerves she had. Monet was extremely likeable and funny on the panel, and she looked the best she has all season on the runway.

I'm sensing a ru-demption arc - Monet will likely continue to do extremely well. Her charisma has been there since she swept up the competition with her workroom entrance, and I'm sure the rest of her CUNT will continue to shine for the rest of the season.

3) Asia O'Hara

Asia O'Hara, just for that look you are the winner of this week's challenge. Like holy shit! This has to be one of my absolute favorite looks to ever grace the runway. Asia did well enough in the challenge, but think she got sort of screwed over when Aquaria started cutting her off.

Asia is a consistent present in every episode, she's one of the queen's with the most confessionals, even when she's just SAFE for the week. Also, Ru went out of his way to personally congratulate Asia on doing a good job this week, which means Ru has an eye on her.

4) Kameron Michaels

She has a voice! Kameron has finally gotten her little bits of development these past two episodes. She did okay on her judging panel, but like always, she really stood out on the runway.

We're finally getting to know a bit more about Kameron, specifically her "body-building barbie" brand. I just don't find any of it that compelling. It really isn't much of a struggle being a conventionally attractive and fit white man, so it's kind of off-putting to me to watch her attempt to rationalize it as a problem... but anyways. She's a sweet queen who brings killer looks so hopefully there are more dimensions to who she is than that.

5) Aquaria

Yes bitch that's a runway worth gagging over. I'm starting to finally get Aquaria's vision. People have been trying to compare her to Violet and other past fashion queens, but I see where they differ now. Aquaria camps it up a bit more. I loved this bunny out of a hat look, and am really getting where Aquaria is going with her brand. Pop and campy, but still high fashion. However, I think her main challenge performance lost her team the win when she started cutting off Asia. I'm still waiting for a breakout moment from her when it comes to comedy or showing off her personality.

Aquaria is in it for the long haul, she has so many storylines that have been set-up and not resolved, that I'm sure will come to a conclusion along this journey. She isn't getting many confessionals though, which is odd and why she's placed so low right now.

6) Monique Heart

Monique should have been in the top this week, once again, ROBBED. I'm sick of the show arbitrarily deciding when things should be judged in teams or not. Monique clearly deserved a HIGH placement this week, being the standout in her team. Also, for a runway look that she made last minute, she looked beautiful. It did look more home-made when compared to some of the more extravagant looks we saw, but she did what she had to do.

I hope all of this is just to have Monique slay later on in the competition, otherwise, I don't think Monique has much time left here. She's truly the breakout star of the season.

7) The Vixen

The Vixen is the most interesting character the show has had in years. She's so complex and multi-faceted. We've seen her wanting to fight, we've seen her get political, and this week, we saw her at her most vulnerable. We saw her support Blair in her time of need. God I love this bitch so much.

But, she's been stumbling in the competition. Her lipsync was good, but nothing to write-home about. The Vixen really needs to step her pussy UP!!!

8) Miz Cracker

Cracker screwed up pretty badly this week. Her edit was strangely negative in comparison to past episodes, and I wonder if it's because her "always being the bridesmaid" is getting to her. She criticized DragCon right in front of RuPaul herself... I was extremely uncomfortable.

She probably should've been in the bottom two this week, but her runway gave her a bit of an extra edge over The Vixen. She still has so much to show, but going this far without winning anything does not bode well for her.

Eliminated - Blair St.Clair

These eliminations just keep getting harder and harder. Pre-season, I didn't think I'd be able to care for Blair, but damn she won me over. What an absolute sweetheart. Her coming out as a rape survivor was so powerful, especially in a time where #MeToo is dominating the news. I'm so proud of Blair, and she had such a good run on the show. It was her time to go, but it was still hard to watch. I do declare, I hope we get to see more of Blair St.Clair one day.

Next week is the challenge we wait for all year, SNATCH GAME with BIANCA DEL RIO!!! They are truly giving the gays everything they want this year. Which queens do you think are in deep trouble when it comes to the Snatch Game?
