6 Reasons Why You Should Shoot Pool To Fund Abortions
Each year we at the DC Abortion Fund (DCAF) participate in the nationwide bowl-a-thon hosted by the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) to raise money for those in our community who cannot access the abortion care they need. While we technically play pool (smaller balls, just as mighty), we do everything else just like the other funds do, which is to get as many awesome supporters as we can to form teams and raise as much money as possible. What do abortion funds like DCAF do? We provide grants to people who cannot afford the full cost of their abortion. Not everyone can afford the cost on their own (last year, procedures costs ranged from $150 - $12,500, not exactly pocket change), and we believe that choice should never depend on the size of your wallet.
