Promising review: "We are a family of seven and this held all of our bathroom supplies for a weekend trip. This is a must-have for traveling. The best feature is it being able to hang up on a robe hook or the back of a door. It frees up hotel sinks and keeps you well organized." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "Drowned out city noises and construction sounds in downtown Madrid. A must-have for travel! Light, easy to use, and tiny. I got a small case, which I'd also recommend to keep the USB cord together. Exactly what I was looking for — a great, light sound machine that's as loud as my normal one I normally use at home. I give 5 stars!" —Mike K.

Promising review: "Must-have for traveling and staggered bedtime! My partner has used a lot of other brands prior to finding this eye mask. He uses them to block out the TV light on nights I am up watching TV or when he takes naps in the daytime. It is the first eye mask that he's tried that blocks out light and is comfortable to wear. The material is very soft. It does come with a nylon travel case and earplugs. This is our second purchase in case one gets misplaced." —m.szegedy

This is a must-have to keep me safe and fashionable — vacation or otherwise. I have thrown it in the overhead on a plane or shuffled through crowded venues, prior to COVID-19, and never lost my hat. This is a great gift, first to myself, and now to others! Thank you for keeping me safe and on point at an affordable price!" —Emily K.

Promising review: "I took this product on a recent 11-hour plane ride and it was so helpful in relieving my low-back pain. As a shorter person, it is often hard to get comfortable on an airplane (or bus, or train...), but the Sleepy Ride sure helped! As an added bonus, it was the first time my feet didn't swell while flying since I was able to keep them elevated. It's also versatile and can be used to pad an armrest or even sit on for extra comfort while traveling. It's compact and packed away easily in my personal item–sized bag. This product is a great value for the price and I would recommend it as a must-have for any traveler." —Elizabeth

Promising review: "Must-have for travelers. Never thought I'd be so satisfied for buying a water bottle. But this one is compact, efficient, secure, and amazingly useful. I travel abroad quite frequently with only with my backpack as a carry-on, and having a compact water bottle is essential. This one is the best I could find, and I'm happy it really is as awesome as it states. Recommend it!" —J.

Stojo is a small biz founded by three New York dads who wanted a better way to get their convenient coffee fix without all the waste. Now they make stylish collapsible essentials in a variety of sizes and colors, including bottles and food storage containers!
This is of the first zero-waste swaps I made and I've never looked back. If you buy to-go coffee – whether you're jet-setting or just grabbing a mid-day pick-me-up — this cup is a must-have. So long as you remember to bring it, it's all the convenience of to-go coffee with none of the waste. It's leakproof and, when you're all done, it collapses down teeny tiny and can be tossed back in your bag. Oh! And it comes with a straw, so all you iced coffee lovers can get in on the action, too.

It comes with suction cups to attach to shower walls, and you can stick the fabric of whatever you're drying into the braided elastic, no clothespins required.
Promising review: "This worked way better than I thought it would for the price. As long as I placed the ends directly across from one another on tile metal, or glass, this held up several heavy wool blend garments at once. When I needed to run the line at an angle, (like on a balcony without smooth flat surfaces to suction to) I just looped it around the clip and that held a lot of weight too. A must-have for hand washing while traveling!" —SMEC

Promising review: "I use it every time when I travel somewhere and when I go camping, snowboarding, or on any road trips. I don't use it every day, but it is must-have thing that I bring with me. Had no problem using it to charge my Samsung Galaxy S8 and my iPhone 8 Plus. Anker is making great external batteries for charging your mobile devices!" —MilanM

Promising review: "Travel must-have. I use this traveling, and it provides extra peace of mind in motel rooms considering I'm a cheapskate and stay in dives and my dog is getting so old he is likely to refer any criminal who breaks and enters to me for further processing. Works well, as a startled maid in a West Virginia motel can attest when she thought I had checked out and unlocked the door to clean. I gave the second one to my sister, who uses it at home." —QuintessentiallyYours

Huppy is an Asian-owned small biz creating plastic-free toothpaste tablets out of sustainably and ethically sourced ingredients. Everything is vegan, GMO- and cruelty-free. Best of all? Huppy donates 2% of revenue to fund sustainability initiatives!
I love how zero-waste the process is with Huppy. You get a forever tin (pick from blue or blush) and then buy refills that come in compostable pouches. The whole chewing thing can be weird at first (my boyfriend found it aggressively minty, I just think they taste like Altoids) but both of us got used to it pretty quickly. With water, the tabs foam up pretty instantly, and after that, it's just a normal teeth-brushing experience. In fact, I'm actually finding that not dealing with drippy toothpaste and tiny screw-on caps is actually pretty delightful. And I'm absolutely not traveling with regular toothpaste ever again — this is a travel must-have regardless of what you use at home. A cleaner process both in and out of my mouth.
Get it from Huppy for $12+ (available in two sizes, two colors, and two flavors; available in subscribe and save).

Promising review: "My sister told me about these and I bought them for a planned trip. This is my first time using this product and I am traditionally a very light sleeper. The noise cancellation/mitigation was very good and they were comfortable to wear. I wore one pair for five days without loss of function and would store them back in the original box daily. This blocked most of my travel companion's C-Pap machine noise in the tiny hotel room and I was able to sleep comfortably. Wonderful to have. This will be a must-have item on my travel packing list going forward." —Jill

These are my go-to travel pants — a must-have if you like being comfortable but not looking too schlubby out in public. The material is a thick, sturdy cotton and the drawstring actually serves a purpose (gasp) so you can wear them on the hip or up higher on the waist. They taper nicely, have lots of functional pockets, and wash up well. The only downfall is they do attract a bit of lint, but that's a small price to pay for a pant that does its job so dang well, that I feel like I'm going to have for years, and that is made by a company with ethical manufacturing processes and environmental initiatives that I'm happy to support.

Promising review: "Took this handy iron overseas with me. A must-have if you have your clothes stuffed into a backpack where they get wrinkled easily. It takes a little longer to do your clothes given the small size so plan ahead if you have to be somewhere. The unit heats up quickly. The dual voltage control is a must-have for overseas travel. A great travel iron at a decent price." —R. Clark

BuzzFeed editor Chelsea Stuart will be packing this versatile top from now on:
"I have this shirt and I *love* it. All credit for its discovery goes to TikToker @jennifer.bianca who I happened to stumble across on my FYP. It checks all my boxes: black, comfortable, versatile, and durable. My initial worry was that I wouldn't feel secure in it (I have a 38DDD chest and most wrap tops/dresses I've tried haven't stayed where they're supposed to), but I haven't had an issue with this! I've worn it tied in the front giving me a square neck (like the middle picture) and tied in the back giving me a V-neck up front (just like the photo on the right) — both were super comfortable and I didn't have to adjust myself at all. As someone whose weight fluctuates, I also appreciate that this piece can handle pounds gained and lost. The fabric is medium weight so I'll be wearing it season to season and there's just enough elasticity in the arms that if you roll up your sleeves, they won't fall back down. All that is to say trust that I will be buying additional colors as it's an absolute travel must-have!"
Get it from Hackwith Design House for $110 (available in women's sizes XS–4X and in five colors).
