This bag has everything we need to keep our pup (and ourselves ;)) happy while trekking about!! Enough room to hold over a week's worth of food, toys, and water for the pup. After my parents loved a similar carrier by the same brand, I picked one up for my dog, Pinto, before our first flight with him and I couldn't be happier with it. It looks great, the quality feels amazing, and it's really thoughtfully designed for both car and flight travel. The front zip window is the detail I never knew I needed. Not only was it nice to have easy access to Pinto for some reassuring pets, but we also found that Pinto loved sticking his head out to look around while we navigated the airport. We had zero issues with airport security and the carrier fit comfortably under the seat as promised.

Promising review: "I purchased two of these crates for an international flight, and they are great. They fully comply with all airline regulations, are super easy to assemble, and feel very sturdy. The company provided a few extra securing screws, which is a nice touch. One of my crates came minus the stickers and I contacted the company. They were very gracious and popped them in the mail immediately. I’m very impressed with the quality, ease of assembly, and customer service. Five stars from me (and my two fur babies 🐾)." —MICHELLE D.

Promising review: "Tough treat for heavy chewers! Our AmStaff can finish a bully stick in minutes. We had to stop giving her bones because she’d gnaw them to shards! This is the first treat we’ve tried that lasted more than an hour. It’s been two days, and she’s not even one-quarter of the way through! They do have a smell, but it’s not strong. It’s like a faint smokey smell. Our girl loves them! And I love that she’s no longer trying to eat my furniture!" —monster_mommy

Promising review: "Our German shepherd, for reasons unbeknownst to us and despite our best efforts, will NOT stay in one seat in the car — constantly hops from the front to the back and back to the front. I thought getting this net would at least reduce the number of times she switched back and forth, but it completely stopped it!! I couldn’t be more thrilled! Maybe now, with her being confined to one area, we can convince her to sit next. 😂" —Hannah Wirth

Promising review: "I was skeptical about getting a $40 stuffed animal for my dog, but I’m so glad I did! We got our Frenchie on a Monday night and we were up three times that night with her and Tuesday night. The puppy buddy came in on Wednesday evening, and I immediately let her use it. I turned on the heartbeat for her, and she was immediately intrigued by it. The final test was seeing how she did overnight. She slept all night! We heard her whine for not even a full minute at one point, but she went back to sleep quickly. She now looks for her puppy when she is ready to lay down." —Amazon Customer

Outside of travel, this is a great choice for kittens recently separated from their mom or a cat grieving the loss of a companion.

Promising review: "Works like a charm! I recently found myself a cat mama of an abandoned week-old kitten. I bought this knowing she needed just something to cuddle up to in her bed. Turns out it basically hypnotizes her to sleep. She crawls to it, kneads it, and eventually, her meows turn to silence. I wish the purring lasted longer, but for $10, it is a lifesaver. She's pooped on it a couple of times, so I've had to throw it in the washer and dryer minus the battery pack. It's held up great." —S Leytem

Get it from Amazon for $10.99 (also available in a blue sloth style for $9.11).

    15. A bag of Pill Pockets so when your dog inevitably picks around the chill pills you oh so sneakily stuck in their food, you have an even more delicious (and sneaky) backup plan to ensure they actually take it. Don't feel bad for tricking them; it's for their own good.

Promising review: "I tried everything. Nothing could get past my doodle's nose. I tried hot dogs, treats, berries, peanut butter...bait and switch, and had to feed with a syringe, which she absolutely hated, as did I! The pill pocket was so easy, and she had no idea! Didn’t eat it and spit out the pill either like previously with other methods. Thank you for inventing this!!! Worth every penny!!!" —Lisa F.

    16. 3-in-1 portable pet bed with a zip-off top if the idea of packing a bunch of different products for your trip kills you a little bit. A cat inside a gray, portable pet bed
Round pet carrier with mesh top and shoulder strap

The top zips off completely for use as a flat open-air bed. Reviewers say this design also works well if you have trouble getting a cat inside a carrier!

Promising review: "Not sure why or how this works so well, but never has the struggle been so easy. I take the entire top off, and it’s a bed for normal use. Then, when it’s time to go the v-e-t, I get the zipper started, then gobble the cat up like Pac-Man. Zero struggles on their part, zero injuries on my part. I think I paid full price for this, and though I was skeptical at first, I now think it is worth every penny. One thing to note: Always support the bottom. The black handle straps are kept in place by plastic loops that fit inside the bottom walls like buttons, but through a lot of movement and usage, the plastic loops can slip through, and the strap will come out. It would be nice if the next iteration of this added a secondary mechanism to secure the straps." —LK

    17. A 100-count pack of compostable dog wipes to keep stashed in your backpack or car in the case of an accident. Potty, puke, or otherwise!

Promising review: "OK, so it might be a bit much to say that I’m ‘obsessed’ with dog wipes, right? Wrong, they are just that good. I’ve tried so many dog wipes but none compare to these. The wipes are extra damp (and stay that way even after opening), which means one wipe goes a long way. They also smell great, have a thick feel, and are hypoallergenic. I have a dog that has sensitive skin, and we use these wipes after walks to get rid of allergies. Game-changer. Try them out. You won’t be disappointed!" —I Only Shop Online

Promising review: "We bought this backpack for our Yosemite/Mammoth hiking trip with the dogs. Here are the highlights: It's really well-made. It's comfortable to wear — even lugging around a furry rascal. I love the water bottle pockets on the side and the laptop pocket inside. Our 13-lb. Promising review: "I have a basset hound, so this was purchased to avoid soaking wet ears. And so far, it has done exactly that. It has definitely cut down on the amount of mopping I would have to do after Winston drinks his weight in water. I can definitely see how this might develop mold because there are a couple of crevices that water can get into but it is easy to take apart and clean. As long as it is cleaned regularly, I don't see an issue with that. Otherwise, it's really an ingenious product." —Haley Moreno

We can squeeze it when our puppy is in another room, and she will come running to inspect. She likes to tug at the felt pieces on the toy and incessantly bite the 'squeaker.' It's so nice to have a toy like this because I don't like the noisy ones." —tee

    24. A snout soother stick because planes dry out your skin like no other, why should your pet's sensitive snoot be any different? This award-winning balm is packed with nourishing plant-based ingredients to help get their sniffer back in tip-top shape ASAP.

This snout soother is organic, vegan, and made with all-natural ingredients!

Promising review: "Well, I have never before been so shocked at the effectiveness of a product. Our 5-year-old Frenchie, Carol, had a nose that was so crusty that it was sprouting these long strands of more crust. There was literally crust on crust on crust. The nose had strings of crust. This nose was so crusty and repulsive; it was almost beautiful. Her nose might have resembled the rarest, most exotic geode to be mined from the rarest mine in Guatemala. A friend recommended this snout soother for Carol's repulsive nose. I was worried she would just lick it all off, and it wouldn't work. We never imagined she could have a regular, soft, moist nose again. Honestly, this product is some black magic stuff! Unbelievable results in three to five days. No one paid me to write this." —Brittany

    25. A lightweight pop-up kennel that can play the part of outdoor hang spot (tent stakes are included) or easy-to-pack kennel if you need to keep your dog contained while the rest of the party goes out.

Promising review: "Great containment, plenty of room for a bed, small litter box, food, and water. We used it for traveling in the car with our cats camping. Two cats shared it just fine for traveling. At camp we put each cat in their own. Worked great. The only thing that seemed so-so is that they collapse when cats jump on top of them. Which is not its purpose, but the big flat surface seems to be a temptation that our cats couldn't resist." —Caribou Jade

Get it from Amazon for $21.99 (available in nine colors).

    26. Or a sturdier collapsible crate for the big doggos who would tear through that tent in two seconds, which also means they'd probably shred the hotel curtains, too, if left free to roam. No thank you!

Promising review: "I’m a little weirded out by how well this works. I bought it knowing I’d probably send it back. My schnauzer destroys my house when I leave, and I don’t want him to spend his life in a crate. I bought this as a last-ditch before having him medicated to keep him from freaking out when we leave. It works 100%. We’ve had it for about three to four weeks and tested it. If we leave and he’s wearing it, he won’t touch ANYTHING. He’s very calm and collected. If he’s not wearing it, he is antsy, and we come home to DVDs destroyed, picture frames torn apart, his toys gutted and piled in the middle of the room, and hats chewed beyond saving. I’d recommend this to anyone with an anxious dog." —Amazon Customer

I never thought I'd be so excited about a leash but here we are. It's as stylish as one could expect from a tool that is essentially a glorified rope, and I love (LOVE) having my hands free when walking my dog. It's easier to do everything — pick up poop, hand out treats, drink coffee, etc. My partner was initially not enthusiastic about spending $40 for a leash, but now he's so glad we did. Plus, the built-in tether lock means you can easily strap your pup to a cafe table or park bench and adjust how much length they have to roam without the risky business of unclipping them from the leash. If you plan to be on the go with your dog, this leash is a great investment.

Get it from Zee.Dog for $39.99 (available in 11 colors).

    29. Or a durable dual dog leash with a padded handle and swivel clasp that'll let you pack just one leash for both your pups. Don't worry — it auto-adjusts to avoid any annoying tangles when your dogs inevitably switch spots every 15 seconds.

It also converts to a single leash for solo dog outings.

Promising review: "We have two very large dogs, and this leash has been a game-changer for our walks. The stretch in the leash allows the dogs to stop and sniff without pulling on us. It’s so easy to hold, thanks to the padded handle, and it feels sturdier than any other leash we’ve tried. Our dogs are litter mates, and one of them walks like a dream (slack in the leash, stays with you), but the bigger one loves to pull — this leash has helped that so much. It allows us to walk them together and allows for their different walk styles while keeping them from getting twisted. We’re even able to walk them while pushing our kids in a double stroller; that’s how well it works. If you have big dogs and want to walk them together, you need this leash!!" —Adel McCarthy
