    The majority of US soccer players make very low salaries compared to some of the world's elite soccer clubs and big name players players. Studying all the teams over the world, no other team in any sport rivals the payroll of Spain's FC Barcelona, which by the 2011-12 season had a payroll of $217 million. That averages out to almost $9 million for every member of the team. However, when we study individual players this changes again. No player in the world, can touch the salary of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, who was paid $49 million in salary in 2013. He made about $73 million including endorsements.
