Another Makeup Artist Did Blackface — And He Doesn't Think It's Wrong

Common sense is not that common these days.

Another case of blackface made it to my Instagram dicovery page and I rolled my eyes so hard I even got a chance to meditate for a bit.

Yup, it's been ZERO days since a beauty blogger/makeup artist did blackface!

As if that makeup artist who "got into character" for a movie because she couldn't find a black actress wasn't enough, and if the blogger who created the "chocolate challenge" didn't piss you all off already — there's more!

Russian makeup artist @notcatart uploaded a video where he goes from "light to dark" because he "loves skin of all colors."

People were quick to drag him for it, but he seemed to think he wasn't doing anything wrong. He uploaded another image with the caption "I will post it again and again... love u guys ❤️." He did disable comments on both the video and the picture, though.

According to an IG account named @notcatart_canceled, which, as you might've guessed, is trying to get @notcatart suspended from Instagram, he did it because he is "obsessed" with dark skin and his dream is to have dark skin because he's "fucking white." He also smeared his white privilege all over his "apology" by saying he didn't give a fuck about what happened in the past, because he's modern, and "we are here and live now."

As of right now, the post is still up, and if his bio is any indication, it will probably stay up. He doesn't care if you don't like him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Let's hope that in 2018 we don't see any more makeup artists or beauty bloggers doing blackface because they "didn't know" it was offensive. Is that too much to ask?

UPDATE

The video has been deleted, but the picture is still up.
