Autonomous = Independent/ self ruling. Vehicle = automobile.

An Autonomous vehicle is therefore an automobile whose operation is independent of any human effort. This self automated cars are capable of sensing its environment and navigating without being controlled by a wheel.

After a study of both American and British road way accidents, revealed that a whopping 57 percent of road accidents are caused by driver’s blunder, many automobile personnel/organizations are ready to adopt the innovation of Avs -- to stay out of this heath/live danger.

Some major states in the US, like Nevada, California amongst many have started issuing license for these self automated vehicles.

As a matter of fact, study predicts that come 2035, driverless cars would have dominated an extensive market range.

Howbeit that the innovation of self automated cars in our economy have started to change and would change a remarkable number of things, starting from the way of life of people up to the market value of the economy. Meanwhile these many effects would pose positivity to some, while some would be affected negatively.

This is the very first and supreme effect of the innovation of autonomous vehicles.

With the innovation of AVs, productivity is on the rise, as the time and effort spent on driving cars with human effort would be diverted into something else.

You can work while seating in your autonomous car since you don’t have to pay attention to the road. Sit back and respond to emails or give final edits to your proposals before getting to the office.

2. Improved efficiency of the transportation system

Self automated vehicles have been programmed in such a way that is automatically follow an ideal distance to the car in front, which makes it easy to calculate the number of vehicles that can move on a targeted road over a given period of time.

Also, sometimes in 2012 when Google was explaining how super efficient these autonomous vehicles would be to the transport system, they showed a blind man run an intercity errand in a self automated car.

Easy travel brings greater demand for travelling. Travelling would become easier and people would feel more likely to travel because of this improvement. Also, the transportation of self owned and corporate cars would become even more easier.

When self automated vehicles are innovated and driving becomes computer’s responsibility, existing car insurance services would need to be modified.

For example, non-owner insurance policy or driver’s liability insurance; an insurance that takes effect when the driver is involved in an accident, would be meaningless as cars are automated.

4. Cost effectiveness to the auto transportation industry

Although, auto transport has brought easiness to the transportation world, one of the factors that has been tackling the easy flow of these industry is the high amount of money they spend on the number of truck drivers they employ.

However, the innovation of AVs would bring cost effectiveness to the auto transport industry, as many auto transport services and vehicle shipping bodies would cut the high charges of truck drivers since computer would be doing the work.

5. Transformation & reconstruction of major and minor roads:

Another effect of the innovation of AVs is that all major and minor roads would receive transformation.

Since you’ll only have to get dropped at your destination or leave the work to the computer to discover a suitable area to park (if you own your own autonomous vehicle,) parking lots and garages would have to be converted into some kind of routes.

6. Increased labor market

One negative impact of AVs innovation is the fact that it would increase the number of job seekers. A remarkable number of private and public drivers would be fired as computer takes over.

Also, traffic wardens, speed control agents, roadside police and other would be returned to the labor market to begin the job hunt again or humbly retire. Due to the reduction of human driver effort the importance of traffic cops and traffic wardens will be drastically reduced as well.

In addition, since autonomous vehicles brings reduction in road accidents, medical sectors and roadside emergency centers would also feel the impact. Since there’s less work, some workers would sure have to go join the labor market.

7. Long life and good state of health

Lastly, the innovation of driverless cars has brought long life to our economy.

According to World Health Organization, a whopping sum of 1.24 million people worldwide meet their demise in collisions every year and things being equal, this is expected to increase to 2.2 million by 2030.

Since computer-driver is not human, the 40 percent of fatal crashes where victims gets severely injured or die as a result of alcohol, drugs or driver's fatigue would be out of discussion and more lives would be saved.

After taking a look at this awesome technology and the luxury of a computerized driving, it is quite interesting to have a feel of how the world will actually become in year 2035.

The truth is, “Autonomous vehicles are the future.” No two ways to it. Therefore, it’s time we begin to think about the many effects and how we can make this awesome technology pose positivity to our economy.
