My Favorite Taylor Swift Lyrics Garbled By Google Translate

"I'm a Swiftie" actually translated to "I am a very smart person"!

    1. "It's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me. At tea-time, everybody agrees. I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror, it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero." (Anti-Hero)

Many translations later..."Sir, I have a question, everyone agrees after tea. I only looked at the sun, not the mirror. He always encouraged Antiua."

    2. "My knuckles were bruised like violets, sucker punching walls, cursed you as I sleep-talked, spineless in my tomb of silence." (The Great War)

Google says: "He is torn as the feet of the violet, and the walls are pulsating, and cursing thee with speech, unaccustomed to the grave of silence".

    3. "Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress staring at the sunset, babe...red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again even if it's just in your wildest dreams." (Wildest Dreams)

They've literally just given up at this point: "The baby bird is taken."

    4. "Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die...I don't belong, and my beloved neither do you." (the lakes)

One of my favorite garbled translations: "Take me to the bath all the poets are dead, I'm leaving, you're not my love."

    5. "I want auroras and sad prose, I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet, 'cause I haven't moved in years." (the lakes)

"When she heard my order, Hilda Silker."

    6. "I've come too far to watch some name-dropping sleaze tell me what are my words worth." (the lakes...again:)

I don't even know what to think: "I went so far as to watch a manga that tells me the value of my words."

    7. "And maybe we got lost in translation, maybe I asked for too much or maybe this thing was a masterpiece til you tore it all up." (All Too Well)

I guess not too far off: "And we risk getting lost in the translation, it's a bit too much, but it's not an illusion, it's art."

    8. "I knew it from the first Old-Fashioned we were cursed, we never had a shotgun shot in the dark!" (Dancing With Our Hands Tied)

"Learned the first ancient curse, you can't see war in the dark".

    9. "You drew up some good faith treaties, I drew curtains closed, drank my poison all alone." (The Great War)

I can sorta see how they got this: "You're right, I swallowed the towel, I swallowed the poison".

    10. "Band-aids don't fix bullet holes" (Bad Blood)

This is definitely what Taylor was trying to say: "Let's hope bullet wounds don't heal."

    11. “We're singing in the car, getting lost upstate, autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place” (All Too Well)

"We sang in the car, and it was lost in the north, and then the leaves fell like trees."

    12. "And you know that I'd swing with you for the fences, sit with you in the trenches, give you my wild, give you a child” (peace)

Translation: "You know I'm with you, I'm sitting in the well with you, giving birth, giving birth."

That's all! Hope you enjoyed these strange translations as much as I do!
