1. The CN Tower — "If you believe in full disclosure and freedom, don't bother."

"This was a total waste of money & they don't tell you that you will be sniffed before entering. If you believe in full disclosure & freedom, don't bother. There are plenty of other very worthwhile places to visit like the art gallery of Ontario. I will never recommend the tower to anyone, please spread the word of how deceitful they are".

2. The Banff Gondola — "This money-making operation has got your number."

"I guess if you would like to waste $70 to see the top of a mountain, take a few pics and come back down, well, this money making operation has got your number."

3. British Columbia Parliament Buildings — "Where B.C. Politicians hang out."

"It is where B.C. politicians hang out - need more be said?"

4. Confederation Bridge — "Nobody likes to be ripped off like this."

"Come on, paying $45 to cross a 9 mile nondescript bridge. The barriers don't even allow a driver to look out. You'd think they would make some turn-outs so we can snap a picture or two. Or a bicycle lane would be nice. Or maybe a place to safely turn off if a car craps out. The Golden Gate Bridge costs maybe $10 to cross. I thought that was high until I saw this. I feel it for the P.E.I. natives who can't even leave their island without being taken to the cleaners. No wonder tourism in P.E.I. is slumping. Nobody likes to be ripped off like this."

5. Parliament Hill — "Avoid this creepy place."

"Parliament hill is an horror of free-masonic symbols with its gargoyles, eternal flames, its peace tower with the clock, its collection of portraits of free-mason ex prime ministers. Avoid this creepy place. Since September 2001 the place is full of paranoid RCMPs."

6. Niagara Falls — "The town especially was horrendous."

"Having been to Iguazu Falls and Victoria Falls, we found this place to be a kitchy tourist trap, not worth diverting to on our road trip from the Niagara wine region to Kingston, and certainly not worth the money. The town especially was horrendous. We were out of there pretty quickly."

7. Peggy's Cove Lighthouse — "The rocky shoreline is not unique."

"Not worth the effort to see this tiny lighthouse, unless you have never or will not see another lighthouse. There is nothing distinctive or historical to warrant the dozens of tour buses crowding the tiny area. The gift shop/restaurant has the public restrooms-loooong lines. The rocky shoreline is not unique.

8. Fortress of Louisbourg — "Quite boring and costly."

"I liked the grand encampments and the Fete de St. Louis but other than that it is quite boring and costly."

9. Craigdarroch Castle — "For me, a Castle has got to have a) Ramparts, b) a Moat and c) a Portcullis or at least a drawbridge."

"Apologies if this seems a bit harsh, I'm sure a lot of people like this place but to be honest its just a big house. I guess coming from England you know exactly what a Castle should be and this falls well short. For me, a Castle has got to have a) Ramparts, b) a Moat and c) a Portcullis or at least a drawbridge."

10. The Royal Ontario Museum — "A pretentious billboard for ego run amok."

"I used to enjoy visiting ROM. That was before they tried to be trendy

with their new addition. This new "train wreck" of an building (it looks like scrap metal), misses the point of a museum badly. Whereas

ROM once focused on displaying its art, in galleries that were modest

and discrete, it has now become a pretentious billboard for ego run amok. The haphazard arrangement of new galleries is a sickening experience, and a sad blemish on an institution that once had higher aesthetic standards."

11. The Vancouver Aquarium — "Rudest kids in the world."

"My wife and I went here from Seattle on our vacation because we heard it was supposed to be the best aquarium, wow it was bad not only it was crowded with the rudest kids in the world, but it was hot, small, and not interesting at all. I would stay away from this at all costs!"

12. Stanley Park — "Rubbish food."

"It was just awful. There are no clear signs whjere you are, the places to eat are open odd times and were just rubbish food as far as we were concerned. Overrated as far as we were concerned."

13. Long Beach, Tofino — "A very long strip of sand."

"It´s in fact a very long strip of sand .

One can stare surprised by the huge amount of timber logs that pile all along the whole length of the beach (don't forget that timber is the nr 1 product from Vancouver Island - I almost baptised this Long Beach as Log Beach...)

As the sand platform extends pretty much into the sea, the results are some sudden ripe tides that may take by surprise any bather, bold enough to swim in these cold waters .

You must watch out ...

And, also when on shore: When we were there, several announcements advertised us to the danger materialised by a rogue bear, seen in the vicinities !"

14. The Calgary Stampede — "Meant for millionaires or something."

"Instead of the greatest outdoor show on earth, replace it with an overrated. I never quite understood the hype about the Stampede and I find it highly overrated. This is the most expensive event I have ever been to in my whole life! It seriously felt like it's meant for millionares or something. $4 for a water? Seriously? It is definitely not worth it. Anyways, it's the same old thing every year and it takes away all your money because of how expensive it is. The stampede is unbearably crowded every year and it's not even that interesting and it is highly overrated."

15. The Victoria Inner Harbour — "There are plenty of other pretty views that don't offend my olfactory nerves."

17. Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac — "They don't have a clue about personal touch."

"Trades on its historical site however service is rubbish, there is no such thing as customer service here. They don't have a clue about personal touch. Refurb what refurb!!!! They spent $75m on what exactly. Rooms are cramped, with a pungent odour and bathrooms are dinghy. The gym closes early not like other much better hotels e.g. Ritz Carlton or Shangri la which have 24 hour access. If you want a hotel that's as busy as Piccadilly Circus or Times Square then this one is for you!!!!"

18. Maritime Museum of the Atlantic — "Turned out to be a damp squib."

"We were excited to go to Halifax just to see the Titanic exhibition, which we imagined to be full of information and exhibits, but it turned out to be a damp squib - but not as disappointing as the trip must have been for those ill fated souls on that voyage. Not much to see. Luckily we were on a trip that went to the Titanic cemetery too, so our guide was really informative and saved the day.

The museum seemed to have alot of other exhibit to thrill salty sailors though."

19. Old Quebec City — "The old town resembled a late 20th century seaside town with no history."

"This is an experience of how a wonderful historic town can be transformed into a gaudy tourist experience.

We started our walk early but by late morning the streets were full of tourists and the old town resembled a late 20th century seaside town with no history.

It was impossible to appreciate the history of this old city anymore.

My suggestion is arrive early and leave after lunch, and not return."

20. Heritage Park Historical Village — "As a gamer, atheist and a technician, it has little to offer in the wintertime."

21. The Art Gallery Of Ontario — "Just big rooms of nothing."

"This was a complete waste of time and not to mention a fortune we spent on the admission. The staff who worked there are the most nasty, vile people you will ever meet. After the gallery spent millions of dollars to renovate, there is still nothing to see, just big rooms of nothing."

22. Notre-Dame Basilica — "It's really, really ugly."

"There definitely were a lot of bones. I have to state that I don't for a second believe in any ideal of evolution so all that stuff didn't interest me. But for the sake of a review, there were lots of bones/fossils so you can get your fill of that. Very neat and clean and well set up."
