I would have to say the first life trick to having success as an actor would be awareness. Being fully aware of who you are in your non-artistic life is crucial for an actor. Art imitates life. So knowing and accepting the depths of yourself is absolutely key to having the ability to truthfully express emotions and reactions under the given imaginary circumstances.

The next is being open to learning. Learn different acting methods and techniques. Attend acting classes and casting workshops. Watch movies and television shows as much as possible and try to surround yourself around other artist that take pride in their craft.

Lastly, always be professional. This is an industry like any other industry. Make sure you always approach situations and or people, professionally and respectfully. First impression is everything. Learn the industry, develop your craft, and always be open to learning more.
