Here are top 5 things everyone has to know about Marilyn Monroe. and don't be ashamed I dind't know half of them either.

Shortly after she signed a contract with 20th Century Fox in August 1946, she changed her name to Marilyn Monroe. She took her mother's maiden name Monroe and studio executive Ben Lyon suggested Marilyn because she reminded him of Marilyn Miller.

Marilyn Monroe was born on the 1st of June 1926 and died on the 4th of August. She died from an overdose of barbiturates at her home in LA. It was ruled as a posible suicide while there are many theories it was a murder.

Even though she lived only 36 years she has been maried three times. Her first husband was a policeman James Dougherty, then baseball player Joe DiMaggio and lastly Arthur Miller, American playwright. All the marriges were pretty short, under 5 years, in fact her marrige with Joe DiMaggio lasted for only nine months.
