The Most Romantic Scenes From The "To All The Boys" Movies, Ranked

    The final installment of To All the Boys I've Loved Before was released on Netflix last week, and now I'm all ~in my feels~ about saying goodbye to Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky.

    So let's take a trip down memory lane and remember some of the most romantic scenes from this feel-good franchise while ranking them!

    WARNING: This post has SPOILERS from TATB: Always and Forever, so, if you haven't seen it yet, maybe don't scroll.

    15. When Lara Jean reads all the little notes that Peter wrote to her:

    This scene is so sweet because not only is it tangible proof that Peter is falling in love with Lara Jean, but it also comes right after L.J. says she wants someone to write her a love letter. Peter just gets it!

    14. When Peter opens the presents that Lara Jean got him from Korea:

    I love this scene because not only is Peter wearing a face mask and headband (which is just irresistibly cute), but he is also genuinely so excited about the presents Lara Jean has brought home for him.

    13. When Lara Jean gives Peter a memory box instead of writing in his yearbook:

    This scene gets an honorable mention because sometimes, even in a movie about love letters, words just aren't enough to tell someone how you feel.

    12. The party scene where they are texting from across the room:

    The most romantic part of this scene is the fact that Peter can sense from across the room that Lara Jean isn't having a great time and checks in to see if she wants to leave. Then, of course, this scene leads to the car makeout scene and the sex talk, which is so awkward and innocent — it's adorable.

    11. When Peter takes Lara Jean to the carnival:

    I love this scene because I feel like the actors (Lana Condor and Noah Centineo) are just messing around and being friends together on the set, and it comes off as a perfect L.J. and P.K. date!

    10. When Lara Jean tells Peter that real love is scary:

    One of the reasons this scene is so romantic — outside of the fact that we really see Lara Jean begin to open up to Peter — is that this café becomes L.J. and P.K.'s iconic spot in all of the movies. And in the third movie, Peter references back to this moment at the beginning of their relationship (peep #3 in this list!).

    9. OFC, the back-pocket spin move:

    I never wanted someone to put their hand in my back pocket and spin me before this scene, and now, if you're not into that, I don't want to know you! Plus, this scene was improvised by Noah (!!), which just makes it even better.

    8. The ending scene of the first movie:

    We love a good makeout scene to end a movie. Not only does L.J. drive to Peter in this scene — which is a big deal — but then he tells her that he's in love with her. *Swoons*

    7. Peter and Lara Jean's first real date:

    There are too many romantic moments in this scene to discuss: Peter bringing flowers for L.J. and Kitty, the hand kiss, L.J. driving his car, the lantern lighting, P.K. being excited at the end of the date. I mean, c'mon!

    6. "I choose you, Peter Kavinsky":

    This scene perfectly captures how comfortable L.J. and P.K. are together. Peter's vulnerability when he talks about not feeling chosen by his dad, and Lara Jean's reassurance that she chooses him, are just too sweet to handle. Also, the little hand kiss, OMG.

    5. When Lara Jean comes home from Korea:

    The first P.K. and L.J. scene in the third movie is well worth the wait. Not only is Peter waiting for Lara Jean when she comes home from her trip, but he made a glitter sign as a nod to Kitty, who immediately runs up and hugs him. Then, obvi, L.J. runs up and kisses him, which made hearts melt around the world.

    4. The entire ending scene from Always and Forever:

    This is Peter's last (and best) love letter to Lara Jean, and it is just *chef's kiss.* He promises to love her "always and forever" before they dance the night away and share a special (read: intimate) moment together.

    3. Peter's promposal:

    First of all, the excitement on his face!!! In this scene, Peter asks L.J. to prom by asking her if she remembers when they first came to this café: "You were wearing that blue jacket and that little dress, and you were calling me out on all of my shit. And I knew then that I was falling in love with you." PEAK ROMANCE!!

    2. Obviously, the hot tub scene:

    Does this scene need a description? The dialogue, the lift, the kissing. Too good.

    1. The last scene of P.S. I Still Love You:

    This scene will forever go down as one of my favorite rom-com scenes. Not only does Peter show up because he remembers that Lara Jean doesn't like driving in the snow, but he wholeheartedly gives himself to L.J. "Break my heart, Covey. Break my heart into a thousand pieces. Do whatever you want." And L.J. also (finally) tells P.K. that she loves him.
