Sharks have existed longer than than trees and human life itself. For the last 400 million years, sharks shaped the world by keeping aquatic life in check. According to research from SharkSider.com, the Earth as we know it could fall out of balance if sharks become extinct. Coral reefs would disappear, oceans could suffocate from depleted oxygen levels, along with mass marine extinction, increased global warming, destroyed world economies and diseases left uncured.
