I'm sorry, did nobody else see any of this? This is for the Editorial Fellowship.
This character teaches high school science for a living, and yet somehow she appears to be a millionaire. It's not just the coats, it's the Alexa that lives in her astonishingly chic guest house, and the impeccably decorated main home, and the pants... the never ending and glorious selection of pants...
Brooke shows up to this apparent charity event that she hosts every single year in honor of her parents, but she's dressed as if she is attending a gala on the Upper West Side, and she is dressed much better than any of the other characters, but not even slightly embarrassed.
Brooke gives this whole speech about a single dad working two jobs with four kids and how amazing he is, yet is utterly shocked to discover that the family is struggling financially. The discrepancies with wealth vs lifestyle in this film are shocking, but I promise I'm done talking about the money now.
Brooke gives all the charity to a single family in the town (her neice's best friend's), implying that they are the only ones struggling. Hmm I'm not sure how the rest of the town would feel about this act of giving. Maybe just let them move into your super awesome guest house?
There's a lot of things this knight from England in the1300s isn't confused by. Such as: American accents, the lack of any titles, the concept of indoor heating, and the christmas villiage he magically appeared in (which would overstimulate him to the point of unconsciousness, I think).
The entire climax of this movie is a man alone in the woods shouting the word "Old Crone!" over and over again.
Brooke's neighbor is constantly in the background, and seems very dismissive of Brooke while expressing interest in the knight, but then has a change of heart completely out of nowhere. It's like the writers forgot about her until the very end and then said 'oh dang, we can't forget to redeem the redhead!'
I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT try to chop down your own tree at a tree farm, it is dangerous and you will be banned for life.
