People Who Were Super Close To Getting A Divorce, Tell Us The Story Of How You Saved Your Marriage

"I'm going up this mountain to save my marriage."

Relationships are hard, ESPECIALLY marriage. Literally vowing yourself to someone for the rest of your life sounds absolutely terrifying. But, despite the fact that the relationship might fizzle for some, others find their way through, experience even deeper bonds, and find new ways to make the partnership thrive.

So I want to know: if you and your partner were ever close to getting a divorce, what's your story, and what ended up saving the marriage?

Maybe you and your partner were going through financial hardships from debt, and it caused your marriage to be filled with arguments and unhappiness. But you cut costs together, worked with a financial advisor, and saw your way through the darkness together.

Or maybe you and your spouse had already started the process of filing for divorce, and in the midst of the proceedings, you found out you were pregnant with your first child and have been back together ever since.

Maybe you had been stuck in a cycle of stability —> huge argument —> reconciliation, and that cycle completely broke your relationship down to the point where divorce was the only way out. But someone suggested couples therapy, and after a lot of convincing on both sides, you both worked at talking about your marriage with a professional.

It could've even been a situation in which you and your spouse have been married for 17 years and have a child, but you realized there was something missing in your life; the same old thing just wasn't working for you. And so you had the divorce talk and went out to explore everything life had to offer you, but you later realized that home will always be where the heart is.
