Mascot Taken Off Field After T-Shirt Cannon Unfortunately Goes Off In The Wrong Direction

T-shirt cannons are all fun and games until somebody gets hurt.

When you hear that an injury happened at the University of Colorado and New Hampshire football game it may not shock you, but who would have expected that it would be the Colorado mascot that was carted off the field?

Something you don't see every day: Chip the Buffalo's t-shirt gun malfunctioned and he had to be carted off the field! Never took his head off though... respect the commitment #footballguy https://t.co/qi0lrPM4Dk

Here is Chip the Buffalo in all his glory. This was a time before Chip knew his inevitable fate.

My man @Chipthebuffalo can get jiggy with it! 🕺🕺🕺

Poor Chip didn't seem to realize today that the t-shirt cannon he was holding was pointing the wrong direction, when suddenly:

Many have shown concern for Chip:

Thoughts and prayers go out to Chip the Buffalo who had an unfortunate incident with a t-shirt cannon.

@Chipthebuffalo how your are doing okay little buddy. Keep the ice on and off. We will see you next week.

    Others... not so much:

Chip the buffalo taking a rolled t-shirt right to the dick at a million miles per hour is one of the best things to ever happen to me

And many hilarious discussions have been started:

We're happy to report though that Chip has released a statement and seems to be doing A-OK, and that Colorado ended up winning the game!

I’m good guys! Thanks for all the love ❤️

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Chip!
