Why does this generation seem to be mislabeled by older generations? Millennials carry a lot of weight with their name. Other generations seem to think they're narcissistic, rude,"tech savy" and entitled.

Millennials are more accepting of diversity, being that we care and are engaged in society. It's believes that the “narcissistic” older generations are placing on them should be replaced with confident. It takes confident for this generation to ignore the labels put on them. Instead they use this very confidence to be extraordinary. Because of her studies, she found that our generation is very passionate about being involved in the world around them. Evidence that confirms this includes a student working a hospital in Nairobi, Africa. This was a young adult who was willing to live in the slums to help infants with AIDS. “This is the first generation that is actually, in large numbers, studying abroad, doing mission work, wanting to make their mark,” said Tippett.

Technology plays a major role and function with millennials . The truth is we use technology as an outlet to better explore the world. Tippet offers both positive and negative responses regarding the misconception. It gives us a chance to better explore the world. While this piece of freedom mean the world to millennials, it causes a lack for us to think independently. Even with that, people forget that the most complicated things can be simplified in apps through technology. Things like mobile banking, Uber, calorie trackers, and yelp make life easier,saves time, and are very beneficial.

Obnoxious spenders

Other than millennials high level of student debt, many of the attributes associated with millennials are related to the economic conditions prevailing at the time(Great recession) rather than fundamental differences in their aspirations. Millennials are claimed as the cheapest generation but this is far from true. "millennials will he spending $200 billion annually by 2017 and $10 trillion over their lifetimes as consumers" , according to Forbes Magazine. Its clear that the business world is watching which brings us to new study on millennials consumption. The savings of this generation have increased significantly.
