Five stars to Byron Lane for this autobiographical comedy that sports a fun-to-follow plot, enhanced by great performances and fun cameos from actors like Drew Droege and Beth Grant.

Technically, not a web series and technically, not a true comedy. However, this darkly comedic "web pilot" walks a fine line exposing the gut wrenching hardships of bulimia and alcoholism while keeping it on the lighter side though witty writing and nuanced comedic performances. Creator (and lead actress) Angela Gulner is a marvelous, heartbreaking disaster who is as beautiful and funny as she is equally flawed and hard to watch as a toilet-hugging disaster.

    7. LIFEHACKS FOR THE MENTALLY INSANE

A group of insane people present their brand of bizarre 'life hack' videos with the intentions of helping other insane people. At a minute or two per episode, these guys have really nailed a niche-comedy mocking the real lifehack videos that clutter Youtube.

    8. GHOSTLIGHT

Basically Ghostlight is like '30 Rock' for techie-theatre dorks. Anyone who's ever taken part backstage in a school play or community theater will understand the foibles associated with this motley crew of stage hands and techies.

Sometimes the simplest of concepts can be the best ones. Rachel Mason creates and stars in these one-off sketches about trying to find a place to rent in New York City. If you've ever been apartment hunting while incredible stoned, be sure to check out the "weed cookie" episode (if you haven't, it's still really funny!)

    10. ONLY IN HELLA

You may be living under a rock if you haven't heard of Rory Uphold's series Only in HelLA, and there's a reason for that. Its short, perfect jabs at specific flaws that define the polarizing city of Los Angeles are spot on and super fun to indulge in. This series could go on forever...and hopefully it does.
