Tips For Picking An Instagram Handle

Easy things to think about when making an Instagram handle or naming a company.

1. Your Name

For some, your name is the best option. Making people in the creative industries chose their name or their initials for their Instagram handle.

2. A Place

If you live somewhere like Paris, California, New York, etc., using that in your name can also work. Think of things that make the place you like, unique and special.

3. Your Theme

If you are planning on making your Instagram themed such as: health and fitness, beauty, photography, graphic design, etc., use that in your handle! This can work with many themes, not just the ones I just named.

4. A Colour

A colour is a good option if you don't have any other ideas. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. You just have to know how to do it right.

5. Don't Make The Name Too Long

If you want people to follow you and tell their friends about you, do not make the handle to long and complicated. Make it short and sweet.

6. Most Of All, Make It Unique

Try not to directly take ideas from someone else. Don't look at Glam and Gore but change the name to Gore and Glamorous. That never ends well with the original creator and their fans, if they have a following.
