Rough Start

So, about a month into school, the dreaded time has come: exam time. Us college students (especially freshmen) have been warned that college tests aren't the same as high school tests. Understandable. However, I went into it pretty much the same as I always go into tests. I studied, a fair amount in fact. The material was kind of difficult, but I thought I could at least get a C, if not a B. Well, I got an F. And not where those smart kids are like "Oh my gosh, I did soooo bad. I got an 88%." I wish. I got a 60%.

So, after that first, soul-crushing test, I took a different approach. I studied so hard. I created a study guide a week before, went over examples in the book, and even had my roommate quiz me. Guess what? Hard work actually pays off. I got over 100% with the curve.
