Ranking And Reviewing All 26 Songs From Taylor Swift's "Fearless (Taylor's Version)"

Here's my ranking of Taylor Swift's re-recorded Fearless album! I have been the biggest Swiftie ever since 2006 and have grown up listening to her music.

In honor of Taylor Swift releasing her first re-recorded album on April 9th, I will be ranking and reviewing all 26 songs from Fearless (Taylor's Version)!

Quick guidelines: I will be ranking the songs based on best performance, vocal improvement, and how well it stays true to the original track.

Please note, this is just my opinion and I'm not a music expert (although I do consider myself a Taylor Swift expert as I was in her top 0.5% of Spotify listeners this past year)!

26. "We Were Happy (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)"

This song is not my favorite, it's a little repetitive for me, but Taylor couldn't make a bad song even if she tried!

25. "Bye Bye Baby (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)"

This one is very catchy but personally just did not do much for me and was just okay.

24. "You All Over Me (feat. Maren Morris) (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)"

This was the second released song from Fearless (Taylor's Version), which really showcases Taylor's country roots but falls a little short for me.

23. "The Best Day (Taylor's Version)"

"The Best Day (Taylor's Version)" is a sentimental ode to Taylor's mother Andrea and her childhood. This version coming from a grown-up Taylor makes it even more heartfelt and emotional, but it unfortunately does not stand out amongst the other songs on this record.

22. "That's When (feat. Keith Urban) (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)"

I really enjoyed this collaboration and how Taylor included Keith Urban on the Fearless re-record, as she opened up for Keith Urban on his 2009 tour during her Fearless era. Their voices sound great together on this catchy tune, however, a little forgettable for me.

21. "Tell Me Why (Taylor's Version)"

"Tell Me Why" was one of my favorites from the original album and describes the frustrating feelings that you may experience when someone is not putting in as much care or effort into you as you are for them and you don't know why. "Tell Me Why (Taylor's Version)" hones in on the powerful and sassy vocals where you can really hear the frustration come to life, but it's almost too much that it ends up sounding a little shaky.

20. "Hey Stephen (Taylor's Version)"

I'm sad to say that I had higher hopes for this re-record! "Hey Stephen" is such a sweet and playful song that was another one of my original favorites, but on "Hey Stephen (Taylor's Version)", I felt like her mature vocals did not fit the song as well compared to her younger voice. This version does however get bonus points for still including the little laugh after "but would they write a song for you."

19. "Untouchable (Taylor's Version)"

This dreamy song was one of my favorites from the Fearless Platinum Edition, but "Untouchable (Taylor's Version)" left me wishing that the lyrics were not sung as quickly but more elongated and dragged out, to make it flow better. A small detail, but I still love this one!

Here is another perfect example on this re-record where Taylor's mature vocals makes this song even stronger and improves upon the original track!

17. "Come In With The Rain (Taylor's Version)"

"Come In With The Rain" is one of the most calming and beautiful songs on Fearless. "Come In With The Rain (Taylor's Version)" does it again and proves to be a very classic song that is easy on the ears while also delivering very clean vocals.

16. "Superstar (Taylor's Version)"

Yet another universally relatable Taylor Swift song, "Superstar (Taylor's Version)" describes the feelings of admiring someone from afar that everyone else is crushing on too and daydreaming of being with them. This sweet song is still as charming as the original track.

15. "Jump Then Fall (Taylor's Version)"

This fun and flirty song never fails to make me get up and dance around. "Jump Then Fall (Taylor's Version)" is one of the songs on this re-release that does the best job at staying true to the original track and sounding very similar to Fearless era Taylor which I admire!

14. "Today Was A Fairytale (Taylor's Version)"

This song, which was featured in the movie Valentine's Day, will always be one of my favorites as the hopeless romantic that I am. There is something so magical about this song that really captures the exciting and hopeful feelings you experience when you start catching feelings for someone. The sharp word pronunciation in this song is also very impressive and showed great growth.

13. "Forever & Always (Piano Version) (Taylor's Version)"

This piano ballad of "Forever & Always" is devastatingly beautiful and sad at the same time. The rawness and vulnerability are really felt in the vocals of this song. I will always be a sucker for this version and a good ballad.

This song is definitely my second favorite "From The Vault" track. Everything about this song is so pretty and soft, while also flawlessly nailing the bittersweet experience of running into an ex that you still love and all the kind of feelings that come rushing back.

This song is SO underrated and deserves way more hype! "The Other Side Of The Door (Taylor's Version)" transports you into the shoes of a movie main character where you wish your crush would stand outside your window, begging and professing their love to you.

10. "You Belong With Me (Taylor's Version)"

My top 10 would not be complete without this song! "You Belong With Me (Taylor's Version)" is still an anthem and takes me back to my first time hearing this song dancing around my bedroom in true fashion like the music video.

9. "Breathe (feat. Colbie Caillat) (Taylor's Version)"

Wow, "Breathe (feat. Colbie Caillat) (Taylor's Version)" is SO beautiful and magical. The vocals and music are heavenly in this song. Definitely one of my favorites from Fearless (Taylor's Version) and does not get enough recognition.

8. "White Horse (Taylor's Version)"

Yet another song that really highlights the growth in Taylor's voice and is still the perfect song to be emo too. This new version is even more emotional and touching as Taylor finally did "find someone someday who might actually treat [her] well."

7. "Fifteen (Taylor's Version)"

This is one of the songs from Fearless (Taylor's Version) where I really noticed how much her voice has matured. "Fifteen (Taylor's Version)" takes me back to how excited I was to turn fifteen because of this song and it will always have a special place in my heart. My favorite moment from this re-record has to be hearing 31-year-old Taylor sing "but in your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team." A true full circle moment.

6. "Forever & Always (Taylor's Version)"

This song made nine-year-old me mad over my non-existent boyfriend. "Forever & Always (Taylor's Version)" is still a very powerful and a perfect breakup song that captures all the confusing feelings of heartbreak where you keep going over every possible thing that could have lead to this outcome. The emotions in Taylor's vocals really shines through on this song

Yup, this timeless song still makes me want to run around a castle in a ball gown. "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" is even more romantic and enchanting than before. Also, the music production is so beautiful!

This song never fails to put me in my feelings and feel all the deep emotions in her voice. "You're Not Sorry (Taylor's Version)" successfully redelivers this heartbreaking song while also making it crispier and stronger vocally.

"The Way I Loved You" is my all-time favorite song from Fearless and the new version is just as powerful and encapsulating of the intense feelings that come along with love. "The Way I Loved You (Taylor's Version)" goes in and improves the vocals to sharp and strong perfection.

This song is still as nostalgic and heartwarming as ever. "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" perfectly captures what it feels like to fall in love and definitely still makes me want to dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless! This song flawlessly stays true to the original track while also improves the overall vocals.

1. "Mr. Perfectly Fine (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)"

I can't believe Taylor kept this song in the vault since 2008. It's such a bop and so relatable. Her voice, the music production, and the lyrics perfectly blend together to make this brilliant song. "Mr. Perfectly Fine" is easily my favorite and the best thing that came out of Fearless (Taylor's Version), which is why I put this at #1.
