As A Foodie On A Budget, I Want To Know About Your Money-Saving Cooking Hacks

There's gotta be something other than eating buttered noodles every night.

I think it's safe to say inflation has gotten to all of us this past year, especially the soaring cost of food and groceries. Just a few months ago, it felt like I couldn't escape the memes about egg prices, which were up by over 200% at one point while the average basket of groceries shot up 40%. And, yes, food costs have somewhat settled down, but I personally still find myself constantly trying to cook on a budget.

So I want to know, what cooking habits have you implemented in your home to save some money?

Maybe you started meatless Mondays in your home, which led to you eating mostly plant-based during the week and saving some serious cash.

Maybe you realized that leftovers are nothing to be scared of and started strategically doubling your dinner portions to have enough for lunch the next day (and avoiding the cost of takeout).

It could be that you were sick of seeing your fresh produce go bad week after week, so you began opting for frozen. Maybe you've even begun taking advantage of the powers of your freezer in general and using it to preserve your meals.

Or maybe you've become a master planner and now go grocery shopping with a strict list and meal plans for the week that use low-cost ingredients.
